Empty clubs

At all the clubs and lounges, I'm lucky if I find even 1 or 2 celebrities. The first time I played, I went to the grind and there were a bunch, but now, at clubs, there are no celebs! Or even other normal sims for that matter! Any mods to fix this? Or is this some other kind of problem? Cuz the only other sims and the clubs and stuff are just the bartender or other people that work there. My sim is a 5 star celeb btw...if that makes any difference.

im not sure it worked; i went to the plasma which was supposed to be the hotspot of that night, and not a single sim was there (except bartenders)

As concerns the Plasma club, you are aware that sims need to get past the bouncer ropes to get in there? IIRC that club type is vamps and celebs only, so the number of sims who might show up on any given night is limited; unless you have altered the ropes to allow in everyone.

This one of the main reasons if not the number 1 reason why i uninstalled the Sims 3 to play Sims 2 again. It is a royal disappointment. Empty clubs, celebrity status rising quicker than a sneeze for my sims, ugh. No notification of the Sim's happening when not playing :rolleyes:

You might need to adjust the GraphicRules.sgr. It's in the Bin. I am not home to post a screenshot, but adjusting a set of numbers there filled my clubs. There is a thread somewhere in this forum that explains what to do if you search.

I had that problem once too. When I started the game, my clubs were always full, packed with people. Then my Sims had a baby, and such, so they weren't clubbing for a while. When I came back, all my clubs were empty - even the Hotspots, which was really weird.

Then one day, playing the game, I was scrolling through the city (the late night world), and at the big park, they're they were! And I mean everybody!
About a hundred sims was in the park (yes, I have a good computer), just standing there fawning over celebrities, who were fawning over other celebrities. Sims pissing themselves, others reading a book or swinging on the swingset. It was ridiculous! I tried resetsim *, but they all came back as soon as possible. I tried setting the park to "No visitors", didn't help. I deleted the park, didn't help.
It wasn't until after I deleted the park, and put new residential lots in, with houses, that sims FINALLY stopped flooding the area, and eventually started visiting the clubs and bars again.

Try scrolling through your city, to see if a mass amount of sims are standing around the same place, doing nothing productively.

I know it has been awhile, but could you please post how to alter the GraphicRules.sgr file? I have the same problem and my pc is beyond the min. requirements. I tried the links in some of these threads concerning hacks to send more Sims to clubs but the webpages don't load or give a 404 error.

starryeyedsim, this thread on the official forums (http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/307092.page) is the one I've followed in the past; if you're not overly computer-savvy there's a step by step version to follow through.

I thought it was only me. Any club I go to, ANY. it's empty, even the "hotspots". Fine maybe, filled with like 2 people. Other than that, it's always empty :/.

Made me stop going to lounges period.

Thank you for the link. I still don't get why I can't have more Sims at these clubs. I understand if they are off limits to regular Sims, and if regular Sims are causing the problems by going there and getting turned down from entering etc.

But I have clubs I made where anyone is welcome, and are hotspots and still no Sims.

I skimmed over that thread link the other day over there and my pc is not rated below a 4 cpu as it is a 3ghz processor and a later HD video card than listed in the requirements.
I would think that would solve it, but the game code I guess still considers that 'low' end. Geez how powerful does the machine have to be?

Thanks again, but I think this might not help either. I will keep reading it though and try to find some nugget in there.

Ea needs to fix this. Add more sims, or make some sense to other clubs having people actually there.
