Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding - Medieval Plumbing
Toilet, Shower, and Bathtub

Greetings, good gentles/ladies. We are The Merrye Makers - a group of eleven creators spanning all disciplines (clothing, lots, objects, etc.) offering for thy downloading pleasure a collection of medieval things most beauteous from Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding -- otherwise known as "Simdom Pudding".
Bathing
Hot baths were very popular and most towns in Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding had public bathhouses. The King’s subjects’ hygiene bars were as green as the lush grasses in the meadows. Those who were hydrophobic were considered to be unflirty slobs lacking in courtly manners. The royal castle featured special bathrooms with padded wooden tubs situated near the fires. Tubs were filled with water drawn from the well and heated on the fire. When King Crumplebottom traveled, a portable tub accompanied him, along with a bathman who prepared the baths.

The Groom of the Stool
A modern kingdom, Simdom Pudding peasants had sturdy chamber pots or well appointed public latrines to fulfill their bladder needs. The castle had several latrines, or garderobes. Private chambers situated close to the bed chambers, they jutted out from the castle walls. Waste fell into or was dumped into the moat or cesspit. At night, castle residents had fine personal chamber pots within their rooms. The King, however, being King, had royal accommodations. Spencer Funke was King Crumplebottom’s "Groom of the Stool". The most intimate of the King’s courtiers, he was in charge of providing at all times proper facilities for the King’s natural bodily functions, and indeed assisted in the process and the King’s cleansing thereafter. Spencer was a neat and handy man in whom much confidence was placed by his royal master, and with whom many royal secrets were shared. In time, he also became the crown’s first gentleman of the bedchamber; waiting on the King when he ate in private, helping him to dress, guarding the bedchamber and closet, and providing companionship. Clearly King Crumplebottom choose the shy loner Spencer with great care, knowing that Spencer had no inclination to gossip and in whose company the King could be perfectly at ease. As a keeper of many royal secrets, Spencer became feared, respected, and somewhat of a snob within the royal court.

Known Issues
When a cat interacts with the toilet then there is an animation mismatch - see the picture.
The bath has been tested and cats interact fine - in the "play in" interaction there is no whooshing off to corners of the map.
The animations for toilet flushing etc are as in the original toilet - so your sim WILL flush the toilet using a non-existent handle.
When using a no-mosaic mod you will see that, when the sim sits on the toilet, it hovers slightly above the chamber pot.

I added a couple of new screenshots for the bath. I think if we use those we have here for the post and the sim in the bath as the thumb it might work well :)

Nice pics SimmyRN. Looking like a professional objects uploader :p .

Correct me if I'm remembering wrong, but wasn't the toilet ('chamber pot') made by daluved1, not Hekate? Or did Hekate make a toilet too?

well, there are no names in the list yet - is just placeholder text

AFAIK - the deco chamber pot and pot on stool are dal - the rest is hekate.

ETA: List edits are in place, pics swapped

Looks great! Thanks, Leesester! (That's the pic I was thinking about for the inline picture, too. Isn't that funny?) I noticed that we referred to these objects as "Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding Medieval Plumbing Objects" in our Deco Campfire thread. Do you think we should change the name/image to "Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding - Medieval Plumbing"? SimmyRN

Added the "blurbs". Could we add an inline toilet picture, too? Maybe the male sitting on the toilet? SimmyRN

Leesester - We had the info for the Decorative Chamber pot instead of the potty chair. Could you update the polys, please? The price is correct and I changed the locations. Thanks! SimmyRN

Simmy - I am pretty sure Dal just reused the mesh and remapped it, so the poly count should be correct. New thumb is attached. Would you like to upload?

I do think that we may need to split the potty off:

Reasons - We have no in use pic of it and no room in this post to put it in. It is in a different upload category than the rest - it is a children/nursery item. In the MTS site download categories it would be in

Buy Mode -> By Function -> Miscellaneous -> Children

As much as I love the kitty playing in the toilet, we could replace that with a picture of the potty chair in use (attached). Since the potty chair shows in the Plumbing category, too, I think it might be better to put it in both threads - plumbing and kids. It's "mapped" in the picture with the toilet. What do you think? Well, the point of the cat shot is to show Pets users what they will get when the pet AUTONOMOUSLY interacts with the toilet - so it is not only cute but informational.

True, I can always retake the mapping pictures and we can put the potty with kids stuff. I'm fine with either. SimmyRN

Okay, I re-did the pictures and edited the table. I think you had some better bathtub mapping pictures if you'd care to replace those. Thanks! SimmyRN

OK, this one is good to upload.

One more thing before we upload - is the shower ok or do I need to fix that too?

No, the shower and sink work fine. I've tested both of them. Is the fire on the forge supposed to be up high like the floor torch? If so, I think it has the same problem as the floor torch did. All I'm seeing is smoke at the level of the logs in the forge. Perhaps that's correct? SimmyRN
