CC Furniture is not showing up?

Hi, I just downloaded a lot of furniture but when I played my game none of the CC furniture was there. All of my other CC I downloaded has worked except the furniture. When I was downloading the CC I put it in my Sims 2 download folder. Anyone know what the problem is?

Follow this FAQ (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:GCCTSU) and pay attention to the following issues:

* have you unzipped/unrar'd the files (are they now all in .package format, so they can be read by the game?)
* is the furniture for TS2? (TS3 furniture will not work in TS2)
* are they new meshes, and if so, did you download the required meshes?
* are you placing the .package files in subfolders? Some subfolder names are reserved by the game and will not be read in Downloads, notably Lots and Characters. Do not use these names for subfolders.

Are they recolors of items shipped with the game? If so, you'll need the CEP.
