View Full Version : How to get the right anims to play?

I was working my way through Echo's intro to bhavs tutorial and everything seems to be working great, except that I can't find the 'hula-dance' anims in my 'Objects00' file (and a lot of other anims seem to be missing from there too. Is that possible?) and when I try to have the sim perform the hula dance (I copied the text from the tutorial into the adult anims file), it critiques my vase instead. Any ideas what about what could be wrong? I'm uploading the file so you can take a look. Thanks for the help!

Hi Molly!
The two text lists you imported, called "Anims - Adult" and "Anims - Child", have the wrong "Group" value.
Open up each of those resources, and click on the "Resource" tab. One of the boxes in there is labelled "Group". Change the value in that box to 0xFFFFFFFF, then click on "commit" and save your changes.
Then you'll need to adjust the values in the "Animate Sim" back to point at line 0x1 of the text list (change the first operand box to 0x01) and it should line up correctly. :)

Thank you, but I'm not sure it worked. I changed the group values to 0xFFFFFFFF, and I think I relinked the Bhav, but it still said A20 interactions. I moved the Hula dance interaction down to line 22 and it worked there, but not in the beginning lines. Is that supposed to happen? The 'a-soc-talktalk-loop1xtalkme' and 'a-sloppyEating-mouthGrip' won't work wherever I place them, it seems. Thanks so much for your help,
MMC

From memory, the "a-soc-talktalk-loop1xtalkme" is meant as part of a loop, and runs for less than a second. The "a-sloppyEating-mouthGrip" is probably the person-side of an IK animation with food, and so you probably won't see anything when it runs. Your object is probably working fine, but the animations you've chosen to run probably aren't really visible. :)
