My Monarch has just married the build master and now I'm wondering how he can move into the castle with her. I searched for it on google and someone said I need to buy equipment that has to do with their profession e.g. if they were a wizard, i may need things like the crafting table.
The thing is, I have no idea what the build master needs! So how can I get him to move in with my Monarch?

NPCs that you marry move in with you automatically, it's only hero sims that you need to worry about with profession equipment.

Furthermore, the build master already lives in the castle... the only difference will be he should sleep in the bed with you rather than disappearing into the hidden npc quarters.

Ah.. Well I thought it would be a problem that he was the build master so i shift-clicked him and made his profession a knight, even though the barracks still needs a knight apparently.
My main problem was, I wanted to make him controllable.. Or can't I? I'm sure I've seen screenshots of more than one controllable sim. D:

With testingcheats enabled you can shift right click on anyone (another hero or an npc) to make them controllable. I'm not sure if having someone not involved in the quest controllable for long periods of time causes problems or not though. The game doesn't normally like you to mess with the build master though... like every time I've checked to see if I can send him to the pit, it said he was too important to be killed... so changing him to a knight and making him selectable could potentially cause problems. Someone more knowledgeable about such things will likely weigh in on this.

Hmm.. I'm not currently in live mode so i can't be sure of this, but from when i've shift-clicked on another sim, i don't see the option to make them controllable D:
And yea I kinda regretted doing that once i did it haha, anyway I've started a new game and I'll be sure not to mess with the build master this time

You have to have testingcheats enabled to do the shift rightclick thing. If you do a search on sims medieval cheats, it tells you a file to modify where you change the value of testingcheatsenabled=0 to 1... or far a likely easier option I do believe there's a mod here that's "autotestingcheats enabled".

Even with that mod, you need to change the value to 1, otherwise the mod is useless, I believe.

Yeah, I've already enabled that cheat, what I meant was when I shift-click a sim, there is no option that makes them selectable & there are only options to change their profession etc. But it's okay, I misread and saw you said shift right click, I figured it out haha thanks :'D

I will not swear to this, but I thought I saw how to move one in with any hero at the Midevil forum. but I haven't a clue where...think it was in help or general part
