I've been done with my 1st realistic Sim of myself, Stephanie, I wasn't gonna upload her here I just wanted help in making her. I am pleased with how she looks now and totally what I was aiming for. Thanks for all the help guys ! ;) Now here's my 2nd realistic Sim... I've been having a hard time to think of what changes she needs because I'm not too good. So what do you think ? What should I do ? Already read the thread and done everything about keeping everything small and head shapes.... But she's still looking very sim-like. :( HELP !

Bring her lower eyelid up, so there's less white space above and below the iris. If you look at most people when they're relaxed, the lids don't show much if any white above and below the iris.
I think she could do with a more interesting mouth shape. At the moment, it's rather generic.

Just a list of women with interesting lip shapes:

Also, due to allele linking in genetics, natural blondes generally have blue eyes. Most of the time, hazel or brown eyes belong to red heads and brunettes. I think this sim would look great with a rich chocolate brown to match those nice hazel eyes.

I agree with all that MzzUnvrz said, except for this:

Also, due to allele linking in genetics, natural blondes generally have blue eyes. Most of the time, hazel or brown eyes belong to red heads and brunettes. No, no, it isn't so simple. it's independent, it depends of the eye colour inherited alleles (even there isn't only two alleles).
But, yes, as you said, blonde people often have blue eyes. However, there isn't a real relation between these two things...
You can have brown eyes and blonde hair. Or the opposite. (I personally have light brown hair and blue eyes)

So, iLoveYoUiLoveMe I suggest you to keep this eye color.

I like the brown eyes with the blonde hair and I agree with Amylet - I sincerely doubt the parents of this little girl (http://www.briannebrosephotography.com/blog/2008/10/brown-eyes-blonde-hairbrianne-brose-san-diego-lifestyle-photographer/), for instance, are bleaching her hair.

Maybe go for a different eye texture though - the eyes on her now are looking quite "beady" - the pupil/iris seems proportionally too small.

But that girl that you, HP, have posted has olive toned skin. The sim in question is pink toned with fair hair. My personal opinion is that the pink tone, fair hair and dark eyes clash. And yes, blue eyes and blonde hair ARE genetically linked. I didn't say that blue eyes were ONLY on blondes. Blonde hair blue eyes are far more common than black hair blue eyes. It's because the genes that controls the amount of melanin in the skin, hair and eyes are generally close together on the chromosome, which is why most dark skinned people have dark hair and dark eyes.
I'm not saying this combination is impossible, but you'll see that it is less common for these traits to be paired with those at opposite ends of the chromosome.
I'd say if you want to keep the dark eyes, fair hair combination, I'd suggest making her skin yellow toned rather than pink to make it look more natural.

I live in a country with lots of natural blondes, even though many do color it blonde, bleach or whatever you call it.

The brown eyes genet is dominant, so blue eyes very easily loose, but then the same is for brown hair. Some say we will all have brown hair in the future, because it's dominant. Some blond people have green eyes though, so I don't know how that goes. Anyway's I think it's rather a useless discussion. I'm pretty sure nature isn't always perfect. That's why I have always colored my hair.

The point was a realistic sim, and in reality lots of people color their hair, and many of those are blondes.

I love the mix, it looks really pretty and easy on the eyes.
She feels very realistic, i wouldn't change a thing ;)

Pretty!

I am confused by this discussion. I have a daughter with brown hair, hazel eyes (almost brown) and very fair pink skin. I have also seen children of mixed race with startling blue and green eyes and dark skin..even one with blond hair and dark skin, little child so I know it was natural blond. I have cousins with blond hair and brown eyes...and fair skin, again natural. I think she looks nice! They are discovering that genetics is much more complicated then we thought. ;)

The aboriginals of Australia is blond and totally or almost black.

On the chromosome?... It's more a matter of recessive/dominating allele (I hope this is the right translation --'). It depends of the inherited alleles.
And, because of the mutation of alleles, inherited alleles can depend of the population. That's why in some populations, some alleles are more common than in others populations (for exemple people with blonde hair AND blue eyes) Velvenom also gave a good example of this.

But this debate is going off-topic ! iLoveYoUiLoveMe, do as you like^^

allele = DNA?
... and we're off topic :)

Lol.. I'm starting to think I've started an open forum.
I guess I'll be going with what eye color she has now.
And I'll be working on her lips. Maybe that's the one holding her away.
Working on her eyes. The first time I posted I noticed there was much space from her lower eyelid and he iris.
I'm pretty much booked right now.. So maybe the update will a little be late. :)
Thanks guys for the feedbacks and suggestions.

Changed her hairstyle and eye color. Hope you don't mind. :)
What do you think ? Is she better now ?
I doubt myself.. :faceslap:

Very pretty! I think she looks realistic. The nose, perhaps, could use just a bit more definition or be a tiny bit wider at the nostrils if you'd like. I'm hoping that you did not use a lot of custom content as I'd love to have more CC-free realistic sims in my game.

There's more to genetics than a dominant/recessive relationship. That's what I was trying to explain. Depending on where the genes are on the chromosome, it changes the likelihood of particular genes to be expressed together. I understand this, I studied genetics. There is more to genetics than just dominant always being expressed. tehre are point mutations and gene linking. I'll just leave this here if anyone is interested. http://www.thetech.org/genetics/ask.php?id=54

On topic,I think your sim is looking very pretty now. I'd have to say that her eyes are looking a bit too large, however. Maybe you should decrease the stretch a little.

I thought of changing her name to: Charice Sommers. I really like that name.. :D (It's my bff's name)
She doesn't have much CC. The only CC she has is her:
# Eyebrows
# Eyebrow Ridge Slider
# Crossed Eye slider
# Lipstick
# Hair
# Skin
Too much?
Gonna have an update in a few minutes.. :P

Anyone know the perfect hairstyle for her? :|

iLoveYoUiLoveMe
16th Jan 2012, 6:34 AM
Using a pay hair right now but don't worry I will upload her with free CC so don't mind the hair..
# Decreased her eye shape.
# Increased definition on her nose & nostrils.
Just one question left: What hair color is better? :(

I like the brown hair too. :p So maybe I'll go with the brown one. I'm just going to find a hairstyle for her.
Going to update more later if I find some hair for her. ;)

I found some hair that was in my extra mods folder and thought I should try them out.
Which of them is much more appropriate for her? I'll just search more hairstyles to try.

The one with the two plaited twists on the side is cute, but that long flowing hair is so flattering!

I love that hair, brown looks much better. I think she is very good, a love the lips, but there is something with her nose (sorry), nostrils looks so small, maybe that is because of skin. Can we see side view?

She somehow turned grumpy ... I think the original hairstyle makes her look less grumpy. Perhaps you can make her smile just a bit?

Original hairstyle?

the rounded one you had in the beginning :) Oh sorry lol. I guess it's no 2? The short one with the hair almost meeting below the cheak. I don't know. Perhaps you can just lift the mouth a bit at the end?

Working on her outfits.. I tried to make them CC-free ad I'm still working on her athletic wear. What do you think? Should I change the hairstyle for each outfit?
