Problem: Can't Open .DDS File

Good Day Ladies and Gents,
I'm having a problem with my Adobe Photoshop CS5. I'd like to open this ".DDS File" so I can make custom things, for The Sims 3, and it says "cannot open file because it is not correct" something like that. I do have the NVIDIA DDS Plug-In which I downloaded earlier and I do believe Windows7 has Framework already. So what do I do? I need your help.

Firstly, make sure you're opening it in Photoshop as opposed to something else - right-click and choose Open With...
You should also try it out on different DDS files, just in case you have a corrupt one.
And, finally, check that the plugin is installed properly and is the right version by saving a new DDS file from within Photoshop. :)

Thanks for the help sir but I just clicked a f'd up Photoshop which my sister installed instead of the one I installed earlier.
