:faceslap: I know that at a time, there was a thread that dealt with the issue of Red pond water. the answer was needing to change graphics cards. This thread is no longer available, so I can't read any of it for myself.
However, my water isn't red. It's more like a florescent or neon purple water. No flashing, completely solid. Not only that, but it's the only water type on the lot with this problem and the only graphical issue. My pool still looks normal as far as I know, because I have a hack that removes the blue layer from the pond (leaving only the water ripples), and it hasn't caught my attention, but I'm pretty sure that the water in the Neighbourhood is still blue.
I noticed this problem once the snow started falling in my game and I went to see if the water had been covered by ice, I came to find that it had all turned purple. Prior to this the water was blue like it had been since 06 when I first bought the game. I figured that if I waited for winter to pass in hopes that the pond would go back to normal, but spring came and the pond was exactly the same. Purple and scary looking.
Based on information from other threads with red water, all the water, such as hot tubs and pools had the same issue. As well as mirrors being black or fuzzy. While I haven't yet checked to see if the problem is restricted to ponds by testing other water sources, or finding out if the problem is located on that specific lot, I will make sure to post that information in a few minutes.
I have all the expansion packs, but I don't have all of them with me, so re-installation is not an option. If push comes to shove, then I'll just have lots without ponds. Not a big deal, everything else seems to be working fine.
:alarm: EDIT: The problem is in fact, lot specific. I visited other lots and the pond water on those ones were normal. I also tried checking hot tubs. Nothing else is having any issues at all... I just have purple water on the lot I play the most.. any explanations?
