I think I have a mod which is stopping sims from getting money when moving out

I guess I must have downloaded a mod like this by mistake. My sims don't get the 20k when they move out or return from university, they get something like 2-3000.

Is there a mod that does something like this? What is it's name so I can remove it?

The most common is No20KHandout.

You might try downloading things into a holding file, unzipping them there, and organizing them there before adding them to your downloads folder, so you don't get accidents like that.
