I found this http://rikkulidea.livejournal.com/23079.html great tutorial about it but I have one question. I tried to change the genetic value in simpe to 0.7. But everytime I click commit it jumps back to 0. It work if I type 0,7 instead. Then it sticks. Is that right and will it work.
It looks like one of the people who commented on the tutorial had the same problem and didn't get an answer...

Thanx

Do you live in a country where they use a comma as the notation for a decimal point? If so, then that's probably correct. The period that you're seeing in the tutorial is actually a decimal point and may be country-specific.

I dont really know what we use in sweden for decimal points. I have seen both.
Hmm I didn't think it mattered where you lived when using simpe. My simpe is in english since its easier to follow a tutorial in english. Will test it out in a testhood. Make 2 parents with custom skin and see if they get a blended kid.

edit to ad:
I found and downloaded a geneticzized skin and opened it in simpe. it was 0,75 so I think that answeres my question. I will use the , :)

I suspect that SimPE is using your system settings, which you can find under Control Panel / Settings / Regional and Language Options / Regional Options / Customize (at least for Windows XP; other versions of Windows may have slightly different wording).

If you prefer different settings, you can select whatever makes you happy.
