Trying to install mods for TS2 on a windows 7 pc! PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey, I am completely desperate, I haven't got a clue why mods will not install on my computer, but possibly it is offcourse because I have Windows 7, but the game seems to work just fine along with the expansions (University, Nightlife and Open for bussiness). The strange thing is that one mod did actually work (the "Become an author...without a computer" mod by Mog Hughson), but I have tried to install the mod " No Jealousy Unless Married/Engaged/Going Steady" and the "no-jealousy-at-all" mod and they just do not work, in whatever way I tried. Is it simpely the fact that I use Windows 7, or is there something wrong with the way I tried to install it (because it said to just simpely use WINRAR to extract the file to the download folder, which I did), or is it something else??
I know it may be pretty late to try and ask questions about TS2 and their mods, but please please help, I really want those no jealousy mods!!

This sounds like a conflict between the two jealousy mods. If one mod disables jealousy completely and the other only partially, that will cause problems. Try taking one of them out (move it to the desktop) and running the game again.

Thanx for the reply, and sorry for the lack of info I gave, but the thing is, I tried that already. Besides, the info by these mods suggested that the entire game would CRASH on me if I tried to install both, and it didn't do that, the mod just simpely is not working. But just to add some info, to make the image of what is my problem complete:
I already tried to install EVERY kind of anti -jealousy mod I could find on this site, (seperately offcourse, getting rid of the first one and then getting a second one, so it is not a conflict between mods), and I tried to install Inteenimater as well (which should be compatible with the anti-jealousy mod according to the info) and it did not work either.
Also, I got a mod from another site once which had to be installed (so you have to install it like a game or something, you get a menu and everything) instead of just be extracted to the download folder, and this one did work. So apperantly, mods will not work with my pc or something if the install instructions for it are, "download, use WINRAR, extract to download folder". I mean, I am not missing a step am I?
One last piece of info, I did try EVERYTHING in this site's guide which helps you getting your costum content to appear in the game (the body shop trick and everything) and mods still do not work, while by the way simple costum content like clohes or hair do appear in the game. And THIS is the mystery of my pc that I am facing. Any ideas that I have not yet listed in this or the original post are welcome, PLEASE HELP!!! :help:
PS: I do use sims 2 Pack clean installer, I mean just so you know, it's not conflicting with the mods or something, is it?
