Need help to install content

Hey guys. I have a problem to install some content (.package) in my game.

I have tried everything said here : I identified my files type (.package), I checked my game version (says it should be 1.12 and up, mine is 1.2), I have installed the mod file in the right file (not in program files), I extracted the files correctly, I have the files mentioned (nointro and nobuildsparkles) and yet, this is not working !

Can someone help me PLEASE ? I have done everything that was said here on the help section. I don't see what to do.

Take a look here (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Custom_Content). There's a bunch of tutorials related to CC, one of them can probably help you.

Is it just this particular file that isn't working or all CC?

Also, the most current version is 1.29.

1.2 is lower than 1.12. Think of it as one point twelve, not one point one two. :)

Didn't saw it like that. I saw it as 1.20... I tried to update my game, but it doesn't work... as always...

This is the only CC I've tried to install, but I guess the other ones don't either. Is their an other method to install CC on previous versions ? Or should I give up ?

"Doesn't work" how? What is the exact text of any error(s) you're getting? How are you trying to update? Through the Launcher, or downloading the patch manually?

Your game is -very- out of date, and as such it is much better to get it properly patched, not just for your custom content, but for the features that are added with the patches, as well as all the gameplay fixes.

I don't get any text, the mods (nointro and nobuildsparkles) just don't work in game. And the mods I've downloaded don't work either.

I tried to update the game through the launcher, didn't worked. Funny you talk about problems with the gameplay. I was currently building a house, and I can't get the roof to install correctly... Don't know why the update isn't working and don't how to do it manually. Plus, a friend of mine installed it on my computer and I wonder if this is a real version, not a cracked one... I suppose this could be the problem.

Is there seriously no other way to do it ???

You don't even know if you have a cracked game? Do you use the DVD to play?
We don't allow discussions or provide support for cracked games here. So, if you have a cracked version, you need to uninstall and reinstall and start over and go legit.

The CC in Documents folder only work with patch 1.12 and above. Just like the Wiki stated.

Patch your game to the current 1.29 manually. First read this whole series once over: Game Help:TS3 Patching.
Then when you're ready and understand the process and what to do when things go wrong, download the patch from this page: Game Help:TS3 Patching:Patch_Download/Current
