So I have a little toddler who's currently got a geneticized skintone. Really I'm only posting out of curiousity because I can live with this skintone no problem. I just want to know what will happen to her if I take the geneticized skin package out of my downloads. Will she revert to default S2 like when you pull out a custom skin? Or will something funny happen to her? Thanks! :anime:

Make a backup (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Back_Ups) of your game before you remove it, then if something goes wrong, you can always restore your game from the backup.

In my experience (<-- not the holy grail of Sim wisdom) what happens is that the Sim reverts to whatever default skin tone the custom skin tone was linked to.
When I started my current main 'hood, I'd installed a default replacement genetic skin, that I ended up hating, so I removed it and all my Sims went back to the default skins, without any fuss.
But as Mordant17 says, backups are always good :)

Okay thanks guys :) I'll give it a go... I'm glad it's most likely just a revert and not some sort of file corruption! :P
