Unique Fireflies in The Sims 3?

I have Patch 1.31 installed, I have Generations, Late Night, Fast Lane, Ambitions, High-End Loft, World Adventures, Base Game and I have Lunar Lakes.

When I go into the Skill Journal, I go into collecting tab and it says:
Fireflies Collected: 0
Unique Fireflies Found: -1.#I%

I wonder what this means?

The fireflies come with the Tree object in LL, however you need a mod to make them show up because EA f-ed it up, big surprise there...NOT! The mod is available here on MTS.

You don't NEED a mod for them to show up. They only show up if you also have the wishing well on the lot. The mod makes it so you don't need the wishing well. :)

That's why you need the mod. It appears EA "forgot" to release the needed wishing well. :faceslap:

I could have sworn in one of the previews one of the gurus, a female IRC said that she had made a wall of fireflies and that they came in different colors.

The fireflies that the OP mentions are not related to the Tree of Prosperity/Wishing Well. Showtime actually adds a new collectible firefly to the game. For those who haven't seen them, you will find some pictures of them with Google :)

As far as the wishing well and my mod goes, I never believed that EA forgot about the wishing well, just that it was a future piece of premium content (however, I couldn't exclude the possibility that the Wishing Well was canceled or perhaps forgotten). It makes perfect sense because then people have to buy more premium content to get all of the features EA comes up with.

Yes, I'm a little excited to see what it will look like. Also, there is another piece of code in the Tree of Prosperity which checks to see if a wishing well is NOT present, so maybe I will have to remove that when the Wishing Well comes out ;p

I love this. They can't integrate features between EPs, but they can between massively overpriced store content. :/

They CAN integrate features between EPs. They just DON'T. ;)
