Just a simple question: whom would you *gladly* pay 10 bucks for to have in your game?

Any living performing artist goes (there are simply too many great dead ones), not just pop singers but classical as well, actors or mimes, etc. etc. - anybody who does his shtick live on a stage. That includes Katy Perry as well, of course; might be interesting to see how many people actually want her in their games. And if you don't want anybody, just say so.

My answer: Dara O'Briain, the comedian. Although it may be better that Eaxis people did not even think to do him, knowing the quality of their Sims, especially recent ones.

But yeah, I'm not sure if having a comedian in TS3 would be such a great idea. As for celebrities, I don't really care much for them. I don't think I'd ever fork out extra money to have anyone in my game.

Agreed. They would be better off putting celebs for sale in the store so people who want them can pay for them and those who don't aren't surrounded by the stupid hype surrounding it all

My Sim world =/= the real world, and none of the real world celebrities exist in my game. And If I wanted a real world celebrity for whatever reason, I'm sure I'd rather have a player made version that actually resembles the person, and not the EA pudding version.

However, if we could pick a band, and I could pick Streetlight Manifesto and get them with all of their instruments (playable) then that would be worth so much $10. Because that would provide so much more than I could find from free CC.

I doubt there is a single real life celebrity that all simmers would be a fan of. That's just impossible. They had to choose one person and they chose her. It's not a tragedy either if there are a couple of songs in the game sang by her. Personally, I don't find my simming experience being improved or spoilt by some simmified real life celebrity especially since they don't add any special characteristics to these sims apart from physical appearance so they are pretty much like any other John and Jane Sim.

The pop-up dialogues would have been repetitive but for a comedian to be credible they would have to make the crowd respond appropiately, with laughs, claps, and such. You don't throw lettuce to a comedian.

Yes...this is true. I guess the stage part could be fairly interactive if you had a choice of material to use, and when to use it. Maybe the pop-ups could show an audience gauge.

I don't think it is a question of who, but what kind of stuff to add for performers. I don't have the game yet, but I think if there was a variety of stuff like other props for the stage and allow the player to create the celebrities we want to represent them would be more creative. But that's IMHO.

I wouldn't pay annything to get a celebrity into my game, no matter how much i like certain singers, comedians, actors, etc. my sims world is a close imitation of reality, but not a replica of it, so, no, no real celebs here. The only sims based on real people in my game are my self-sim and a few people close to me. Plus, there are a lot of celebrities out there available for free download, some of them are made by talented creators, with good CC, and look almost like their real-life prototypes - much better celeb-based sims than EA could ever make. Hence, no reason to pay for something if we can get that (and more!) for free.

EA is the one who can give me the item I need for a working Prince sim, male high-heeled booties. I've seem male heels of course, but none have come close to the Prince-booties. I absolutely love her and although I'm not for the idea of an EP or SP being based on any one person, I have to admit that I'd be very happy to see it.

Prince. That's the first musician that came to mind when I saw this topic. The Sim could age from his early days with the big ass afro to his current look. I don't know if "age" is the right word when used in describing Prince, 'cause he hasn't done much of that. I swear he's a modern day vampire or something.

For a non-singer, I think a Danny DeVito Special Edition EP would be pretty awesome. Since sims are always the same height and he's really short, he could be a special NPC character that waddles out from outta nowhere like the TS2 penguin and harasses your sims like Mrs. Crumplebottom did, preferably in an authentic Danny DeVito raspy simlish voice. Maybe there could even be a "Pet" option like the TS2 penguin.

When I think of celebrities with distinctive clothing, the two that pop up first is definitely Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. But Perry's been overdone already, and while her theme is pretty cute in the box, who'd actually use those giant fruits ingame? And I kind of want a meat dress in my game. I dunno why.
I think that they should srsly drop the whole celebrity branded stuff pack in favour of actual brands this time. Or other themes? We still don't have a caveman theme...
If I could pick one person to represent an entire stuff pack though, it would be Alice in Wonderland. Like, I don't care if she's fictional. Her theme is absolutely amazing. I know they already did a couple of sets on her, but I can never have enough Alice stuff. And besides, those they did give us weren't that good and crazy. I like the classic Alice in Wonderland as much as the next person, but her dresses from Alice: Madness Returns were just epic. I would definitely pay for that.
