Sim missing on return from vacation

Hi All,

I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this but I am only trying to help others that was in the unfortunate situation I found myself in and after trawling the internet for 5 hours (!) my situation was still not resolved.

I have all expansion and stuff packs minus Pets and have installed my game to 1.32 patch.My computer exceeds the min requirements EA recommends.

Here goes...


My husband and wife left their toddler with a babysitter while they went to Egypt.In Egypt they tried for a baby.On return, only the female sim had arrived and was now the only playable character available in the house,even my toddler and the babysitter had disappeared!! :faceslap: :faceslap: :faceslap:
Wierdly though, I could still see them in my relationships.

After restoring my game (I had saved it while on vacation),deleting caches,removing mods,attempting to edit townand anything else the internet suggested the only thing that managed to work for me was to(and was so simple)..

-Send my female sim home first (she was always the one that returned)
-Play my male sim while he was on vacation alone for a lil while
-Send him home
AND VOILA ! they both arrived home and was entirely playable ... but no toddler :faceslap:
So i had to switch household and then on switching back to my original household all 3 family members were there and playable-PHEW!!! :beer:


Sorry if the solution has been posted already but I could not find it for the life of me and I understand the frustration and despair you get when you game totally effs up and you've put so much effort into creating it so just hope my experience helps others :luff:

When will EA Games make a Sims that doesn't mess up someway or another !!!! :wtf:

WA is starting to get on my nerves from not being able to plays sims when on vactions after trying to take a photo
to the sim going on vacation but not seeing them or being able to click anything
wish EA fix this s;;;

Yeah, I rather love World Adventures, I know some people don't but I quite enjoy going to Egypt and France, however the biggest bug that didn't just destroy a family, but eventually destroyed the whole neighborhood prevented me from going to it, it's a long story but I did try to fix it with the help of a mod, but nothing seemed to work, so now I only go there occasionally, and if I do, have a backup save just incase. It's sort of like yours only that when I come back, the icons are still there but the Sims themselves are not. It just stops the house from working, and then trying to go to another house results in forever loading, literally.

And I have had pixie's problem too, just an annoying bug that hasn't been fixed to my knowledge. (However this was like a year ago, so maybe someone's found the problem)
