Ok, well, that's a really, really, really bad way of doing things. bcdedit is a command which is used to change the settings which allow Windows to load up when you start your computer. That particular bdcedit command turns off DEP - which you can do just as easily through the control panel. The only difference is that when you use bcdedit, you run the risk of making a mistake which hoses the boot config, thereby preventing your computer from starting up next time you use it.

Just use the control panel. ;)

I've been told to upgrade the video card driver, delete the game completely from the computer, deleting cache files, but none of these attempts worked.
