View Full Version : .Sims3Packs won't load past 0%

There was a thread for this earlier, but the original poster seemed to have figured it out by backing up his patch. I don't know how to do that and I don't know if that's possible for me to do now that I've installed The Sims 3 Showtime. Wouldn't it cause the EP to stop working?

Anyways... the issue is that my .Sims3Packs will no longer load past 0%. The .Sims3Packs I had installed prior to Sims 3 Showtime are still there and still installed, so I'm positive its a patch or EP related issue.

Basically, I'm looking for suggestions on how to fix it or possibly direction to a page that may help me understand how to... back up a patch, I suppose? Removing the patch is something I'd prefer to do as a last attempt though. Hence why I'm making this post first. Thanks for your time.

This is the page I used to fix my game: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall
Follow the directions exactly.......so far my game is ok after carefully following everything it said to do on that page. I also manually installed the patches. I don't even have the origin installer on my computer atm.

I'm having launcher issues too since the patch. What happens is that my progress bar when installing a .sim3pack file stalls about a third of the way to completion and doesn't move. Nothing freezes, it just continuously stays in that position. Does anyone know if this is a DEP or large address aware issue? Any ideas for work around's or how to solve?
