Unzipping a file would not hide or delete a whole set of folder. Unless, like your super duper keyboard with the stuck Shift key, the PC has powers of its own to thwart its human operator and hide folders from you on purpose.

I guess I'll wait a few hours for you to calm down, and correct the word casing, before I come back to see if I can understand enough to help. In case it is not PEBCAK...

I was trying to download this http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=402950 and then I followed the 7 ZIP and things, and then when the rules told me to check and see if the No Intro and No Sparkle mods were on, I did. And it didn't work, and then when I got to the actual start up screen, my family was gone. Then I went into my Current Game folder and it was not there. All of my data is gone. I tried to uninstall 7 ZIP and Frameworks, but the 7 ZIP wouldn't uninstall, so I just restored it all and came on here to see if you know what I should do.

If the actual files are gone and you didn't delete them, then it sounds like something went Horribly Wrong with your hard drive, which wouldn't really be related to 7-zip or getting the FrameworkSetup.zip or any of that (well, it might be related in that it might've been the straw that broke the camel's back, but that's it), so uninstalling 7-zip isn't necessary or helpful. Most likely, the saves you had are lost if the files just spontaneously disappeared like that. It sounds weird, but it happens - way back with Sims 2, I had a hard drive go wonky and had to reinstall Windows and the only files I actually lost in the process (besides my Windows install having to be fixed) were those in my Sims 2 Downloads\Floors\Carpeting folder, of all things.

If you do a Google search for "scandisk Windows X" where "X" is your version of Windows (most likely, XP, Vista, or 7) you'll get some info on how to perform a check on that hard drive to see if it's going wonky. In fact, before doing that, I would strongly suggest backing up any critical files that you would be really upset if you lost (photos, documents, bookmarks, whatever) onto a separate storage device like a USB drive, just in case.

Just do a search of your computer for "sims 3" and that should show you where ALL files are that have anything to do with the sims. Are you sure you didnt zip up your sims file? Just a suggestion.............

I deleted the No Sparkle and No Intro mod's in the Mod folder and I looked in my downloads and it says I still have my downloaded city, which I don't use, and when I play the fucking game, my God damn fucking information is not there nor is my fucking city! I can't express how fucking mad I am! WHAT THE FUCK!

Please stop swearing! It is not our fault, so we don't deserve your anger.

Typing a load of expletives is not helping us to help you, as you are giving us no information.

Did you check your hard drive as suggested?

The downloaded city in Downloads is most likely a Sims 3 Pack. Even if it isn't, Downloads is just the spot where Sims 3 stores sims 3 packs that need installing. It doesn't look there to find anything other than to check to see if you have something that needs installing. Seeing it there means nothing about whether or not it's in the game.

Open Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saves

Is anything in that folder? (I suppose it's silly to ask if you've looked in the recycle bin.)

If not, try doing a search of your hard drive for "Sims 3" (or .package ) and see what turns up and where it is. You could also search for the name of your saved game if that's all you care about.
