Question regarding horse manes

I'm just curious here - is it possible to give horse manes and tails an Alpha texture? Just thinking if it was and it worked same as the human hair texture it'd be great for paint horses - though I'm not totally sure where to find this alpha if it already exists

They work the same as sim hair and have alpha channels.
They also can be recolored same way as sim hair.
Try TSRW, pick a mane style and clone it.

How would I find manes in TSRW, I have it open but I can't get to it if that makes sense?

It shows nothing ¬¬ well it shows two items in clothing/horse, I've tried to uninstall - reinstall but it won't let me -sigh- looks like manes are out of my area until I can get this fixed

You have the latest version and linked the PETS ep correctly in the edit/preferences menu?

I don't have the latest version - it won't let me install/uninstall due to another installation been run (There isn't one) but I haven't checked the pet link thing
