Can someone tell me if this is actually possible?

I am posting this thread to ask a few questions. I have recently started dipping my toes into the pool of creating cc, and converting sims 2 to sims 3 stuff. I am by no means an expert and I have barely managed a few things. What I want to know -- Is it possible to convert a sims 2 skin to sims 3. I know that there is no point in converting sims 3 to sims 2 because sims 3 relies on the lighting and shadows the game creates, where as sims 2 the actual skin had to have highlights and shadows. Its an alien skin I want to convert and I'm just asking if its possible. If it is possible to convert the skins, is there a tutorial written to help me along the way?

The arms/hands/legs/bottom/body/feet are positioned on a diffrent spot so it will be a huge task moving all those texture parts.

It's possible, but you'd basically be remaking the skin from scratch.

- Eye sizes on the textures are different. TS3 eyes sit smaller on the face (though the actual face texture is larger than TS2.)
- Nose and mouth on TS2 skins are narrow compared to TS3. Ears are also too wide on TS2 skins.
- TS2 bodies lack TS3-style feet and the body parts are situated differently than TS3 bodies. You will have to mirror the entire thing, push the front and back body together then reposition the arms completely.

I am sure there are some other things I forgot to list, because I never played TS2. :/ But that's the minimum you'll have to deal with. It's far easier to make a "blend" than attempt to "convert" verbatim.
