Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section; Have searched endlessly for an answer to this glitch...finally resorting to reaching out to all you Sim-savvy peoples out there! :!:

So about a while back, I downloaded this hair:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wV5JMD1OISg/Sqrb48vy7PI/AAAAAAAAC6Q/kSekReHcb1U/s400/antocd50_cas-1.jpg

All was well for quite a long time and I really enjoyed it...then out of the blue, it started acting crazy. Now when I select that hair, it looks fine in the CAS but in-game, it looks broken and has this crazy thread-like piece of hair coming out of it and stretching out towards random directions.

An example of this:

Has anyone dealt with this kind of issue before? Its the only hair in my game that responds this way. How do I go about trying to fix this issue? I'd really like to be able to use it again. I tried scouring the web in hopes of finding a possibly updated version but the creator hasn't updated their site in quite awhile and its full of dead links. I included the file itself if anyone wants a crack at it. Thanks in advance for any insight into this problem! :help:

General - Check Temps
In some cases, game bugs/crashes/general computer issues can be caused by your computer overheating. To ascertain whether or not overheating is a cause of your problem, please follow these steps:

Firstly, download and install HWMonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html). Run the program - you should see lots of numbers; if you don't know what any of them mean, don't worry - you don't have to. :)

With HWMonitor running, use your computer normally for twenty or thirty minutes - no games, just browsing the web, using IM, playing minesweeper etc - and at the end of the twenty or thirty minutes, take a screenshot of the HWMonitor window and save it.

Then do the same again, keeping HWMonitor open, while you play Sims for twenty to thirty minutes. If your game is crashing before the thirty minutes is up, just play until it crashes. If your computer is freezing, shutting down, or restarting itself, play for as long as you think you can before the freeze/shutdown/reboot, then quit the game. Take another screenshot of the HWMonitor window.

Finally, attach both screenshots to a post in this thread - you can upload them to photobucket or tinypic etc, or you can hit "Go Advanced" in the Quick Reply box and use manage attachments to upload them to MTS.

General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue.
Please post a Quick summary of your System Specs
Instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.
Please Do NOT post your complete DxDiag report in your thread.

That's a warning sign that the graphics are failing. Can you post specs?

If it's not hardware, then it's the hair mesh. Do others who downloaded this item mention any issues with it? Does the creator have any insight?
