Well, I guess it is possible that as the Magic EP was leaked, they decided to bring forward one that had been planned for later in the series... I am however becoming increasingly pessimistic about weather.

In this expansion pack includes disasters like Snow Storm, Drought, Landslide (Tropical Climate only), Flash Floods (Tropical Climate only), Tornadoes (Prairies Only), and Earthquakes. Electronic Arts aren't planning if there will be a Tsunami in this Project.

So unless EA is bringing several new worlds along with this EP, just how will there be tropical or prairie worlds to mess with? I think the line about Tsunamis is really the tipoff..Chuck Norriss (cute, can't even type in apr. fools without Chuck popping in).

I would have been safely skeptical that it was true until it got to the part about religions. I find it very hard to believe that EA would put religion into the game. Isn't that one of the most divisive things they could do to get everyone riled up? Unless they created their own Simlish religions (which I'm wondering if they have that much creativity anymore).

While weather is the one thing I would love more than anything else, I'm holding out hope for something a little more official and something that doesn't appear on a day like April Fool's day.

Since Wikipedia has already flagged it as a hoax and it's scheduled for deletion I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

Not to mention, EP 6 has already been released, EA would NEVER put that much content in one EP (too much money to be made with multiple EPs) nor would they include religious content - too risky.

And a side note, this article was published in December 2011 I think on Wikipedia and removed then as a hoax.

Actually, I saw this before it hit April 1st in any part of the world, so I don't believe it is correlated. However, that doesn't raise its validity, as... Just look at it. The source is a Wiki site. Lets be honest, when have we ever gotten any EP/SP validly leaked from a Wiki site? I can't remember a single case.

Plus, the sixth Expansion Pack for The Sims 3 was SHT, not anything of this quality. ;)

anyone seen the forums discussing this? Someone found a description saying there would Four Seasons in Occasions, along with the usual stuff (new towns, hairs, objects, etc.) and holidays and disasters. However, this struck a slight pessimistic chord in me:

I'm going to go scour the internet some more, because I really want seasons. EDIT: Nope, nothing I have found is believable, and it was much easier finding pages that had been deleted (for unknown reasons) than an actual proof, or anything else.

There's a spring fairy trait and we know fairies are coming in next EP, so it might be at least partl true.

The game is already loaded with weather themed visual effects (hidden in the game files), and some extreme weather conditions too, like huge lightnings, thick clouds, approaching storm wind sound effect... not to mention, they put heatwaves already in WA and earthquakes in AMB (only occurs during firefighter profession).

Weather and seasons is such a high-demand feature that EA will not leave it out. But will they do it half-assedly or properly is a whole another topic... : P Whatever the case, weather and seasons will be in TS3, because EA knows how bad people want it and will milk that huge cow dry.

Best thing to do is to identify the world seen in the image. To me, it looks like Oahu (by Jasumi), though it could definitely be another tropical world from the Sims 3 Forums.

Seasons? Too good to be true. Well, i'm SURE they'll make a seasonal EP, but I'm also pretty sure it will be the last one. I somehow do'nt trust this info, they listed too many things to fit in one EP.

As for religion: they could hardly leave that out of a "medieval life simulation". They did their best to make it as stupid as possible, however - I guess they believed that making it "funny" (in their sense of the word, of course) would take the edge out of it. I am still wondering where they got the idea for "two religions", though. Franciscans vs. Dominicans would be the closest medieval analogy but I can hardly imagine anyone at EA knowing anything about that.

Well, The Sims never really have religion, but they do have religious holidays themed items like Christmas tree all the way back in the first game (was it from Livin' Large or House Party? I forgot which). Although anyone could hardly call that religious...

And what about the fact that it takes Showtime's slot, with past date, and subway system that we already have from Late Night listed as new feature? I'd say fake.

Trust me, EA will find someway to either had social features or make Seasons lame.

it sounds like someone tried to get our hopes up with the sound of a good EP. EA will be likely to make one EP for winter, one for summer, etc.

My guess would be that the "weather" and "seasons" will mostly consist of just visual effects, and not much actual interactive stuff to do. Easy to make for EA, and people will buy it because it looks cool. They probably won't be putting any social stuff in it, because they don't need to as people will buy it because of the coolness factor alone. They'll save the gimmick tactics for EPs like SHT that have very little actual game content. : P

1. The information for this 'Occasions' EP comes from a Wiki site. No The Sims EP/SP title has ever been leaked via Wikipedia or any Wiki site. Plus, the information calls for it to be the sixth EP. The sixth EP was SHT.
