So, someone was playing the game on my computer and decided to mess around with the inner files or something to fix a glitch and read online that they needed to do something to replace those files. Fast forward to a few minutes later, suddenly they've taken the files by the same name from one of the EPs and put it in the original Sims 3 folder and I've been told I need to just put the original ones back. Unfortunately, I can't do that. This was downloaded from Gamestop's website and, due to computer issues in the past, this was the last download code, so I can't uninstall it. Is there any place I can just get the original ts3w and tslhost.dll files?

Sadly, no - at least, not legally; and if you could find somewhere to download them, they would almost certainly be the wrong version, and you would still end up having to reinstall.
You should be able to undo the overwrite by hitting Ctrl-Z in the folder window, as long as you haven't restarted or done a bunch of other file operations since your friend screwed things up. Your friend should have backed up the original files before overwriting them (as you should always do, with anything) but I take it they didn't bother.
Frankly, I'd go to gamestop customer service and tell them I want my fracking software that I paid for and have the right to be able to download. I would also probably back up the installer from my temp files, so that in future you don't have to redownload if you want to reinstall.
If that fails, you may be able to get EA to give you an Origin download of the game, if you send them your serial key and proof of purchase.

Thanks! I got it worked out, my brother helped me fix it. Since I've been on break visiting family and just got back to school, I've hardly even had my computer, so I couldn't just undo, but it let me reuse the key, thank god! I appreciate the help--I was gonna explode without my little virtual families haha.
