All the topics here keep recycling? I spent here maybe half a year or a year (oh memory, where are you?), but lately I've been only seeing topics that I've seen what feels like a million times before.
I want something new and fresh to discuss about TS2.

Well, considering how old the game is... ;)
I think what you're seeing is some players fairly new to the game asking questions many of us already asked years ago.

Babahara, if you want something new and fresh to discuss on such an old game, then think of something new and fresh to discuss and start a topic for the aforemetioned new, fresh juicy and exciting topic that you are about to dazzle us with.

Something fresh and new to discuss about a game that hasn't been updated for what, four years? Not likely to happen unless EA suddenly releases a new expansion, or some great scandal happens, such as TSR is finally shut down for charging for custom content and panic hits all the other paysites.

Something new and fresh... Let me see.. Well I still haven't played with all the items from Castaway! I have yet to see my Sim walking over hot coals with bare feet lol! Maybe you could download the Castaway objects to Sims 2 if you haven't. The coconut/bananas/papaya trees bring something new and fresh to the game. :D

For a second there, I thought you were saying that this HAD happened, and I was about to launch into a virtual Dance of Much Happiness and In Your Face T$R. Le sigh.

With the absolute stupidity of Showtime or the Katy Perry Sweet Treats SP Sims 3 players are now dealing with, I say you'd be better off with some scandal dealing with the CC websites than a new EP for Sims 2.
The creativity is gone, now putting out lame stuff hoping the completests will buy.

I dream that one day this will happen. I think the closest we might get is someone hacking the site and making all the downloads free.

Already done, at PMBD, so there's that, at least.
Still galling, though, to see people like Thoma$$ doing well with highly unethical business practices.

Oh, I know of PMBD, but it would be extra-awesome if the people who don't know about it logged into TSR one day and discovered everything was free, the way it's meant to be. And it would mean people wouldn't have to buy the items to share - and risk having their financial details in the hands of Thoma$$, who hasn't exactly shown himself to be all that trustworthy with private information. (Are we allowed to talk about this, I wonder?!)

I guess we'll find out! :giggler:
And I totally agree with you!

@ Babahara have a drink  and calm down a bit. Since the beginning of "ManKind" topics have been recycle over and over again. Remember in school we had History, Geography, Science, Math, those subjects was
Recycle from first grade to twelfth grade. Now you go to the Universities some of the studies there are also recycle.
Even when you go to the grocery store the bags and food containers are Recycle. And how many times of the year do the same "Holidays" come around and around again ?
You see the whole world is recycle plants die, and get recycle again. So why not the "Beloved Sims 2 Game ? After all in the Sims world we as the players have the power to recycle our game. Like install and uninstall. ;)

I've been to another forum dealing with another topic, and there was the same picture over there. Ontopic discussions kept recylcling, so people who spent a while on the forum moved off to the off-topic section. They said it was thanx to many newbies, and the forum was extremely popular, indeed, I could always see around 50 people online simultaneously, and around 200 in its heyday. But I'm not so sure that it was because of the newbies, in truth there were no new topics.
I just wish they could appear, and I wish I was creative enough to do something like that. But it's quite hard to think up or do something interesting for TS2.
Ok, a random thought about a self-sufficient hood: I had an idea to make one sim family an owner of a construction company, and I happened to find a mod that allows sims to cut wood (no rock chipping, though, so it's only about wooden houses). How much should it cost and how should I charge? I decided that the building company should get 50% of the price of any prepared lot when sims buy it or 50% of its cost when sims build on it. But I'm not yet sure how to install wood into the scheme.
I'd kill for that kind of ideas. Tweaking the game into something that it is not, with more functions, is what keeps my interest in it. So please share :) The last thing I've done was setting up international commerce in my hood, with lots of rules about how it's done and factories to help around, but it's not enough of a novelty now.

Basically: Why are some objects not placed properly?
Like when placing urns on coffee tables and they somewhat float.
