How many in-game twins have your sims had and the number of combinations? Do you like to give twins fun twin-y names (both starting with the same letter, rhyming, or themed names) or just name them normally?
(without cheats or birth hacks) My game has:
Boy/Boy - 4
Andante/Adagio
Salvatore/Antonio
Pryce/Peirce
Cyrus/Darius
Boy/Girl - 2
Lee/Bree
Willow/Elm
Girl/Girl - 1
Sonata/Rhapsody
I hear about in OFB a pregnant lady who eats cheesecake will always have twins but I do not have that expansion so whenever twins do pop up I'm surprised.

I've only had a couple of twins in my game.
Malcolm IV Landgraab and his wife had a pair of boy/girl twins, Malcolm V and Myra.
Stella Terrano also had boy/girl twins when she got abducted, Derek and Ceres.
Callisa and Jack had twin boys, Scott and Liam.
Ashley and Thomas had boy/girl twins named Ethan and Nadia. (They each had different skintone too :D)
Haven't had a set of girls yet and as you can see I tend to name them normally :)

In Pleasantview I've had quite a few sets of twins. Lets see if I remember them all
Cassandra Goth and Dirk Dreamer had two sets of twins. Adam and Brooke. Then after two more kids together (not twins) they had Fawn and Greg and they're twins. Adam and Brooke are young adults and in college and Greg and Fawn are still toddlers. With this family I named the kids alphabetically (there was Dirk, and then Chris and Edward but none were twins)
Don got his maid Kaylynn pregnant and she gave birth to Cooper and Kathleen. They're still babies
Ummm.....there are Angela and Lillith of course :P. They're adults now
And Lillith and Dirk had twin girls named Tanya and Macy who are toddlers....I think. They may be children though
I made a CAS family and they had twins named Damon and Katherine (Vampire Diaries reference) and they are children. The parents had one other daughter, but she wasn't a twin and I forget her name
I made another CAS family and ended up with twins Elizabeth and Samantha who're now teenagers.
Made a CAS family and ended up with twins Jasmine and Kaylynn. Jasmine's a Young Adult, but Kaylynn is still a teen because stayed home to help take care of her elderly mother and her little sister Nellie
My CAS family, recently had cheesecake twins named Alex and Austin (I'm doin my first alphabetical legacy) and they're still infants...she literally gave birth 3 seconds ago
My other Legacy family had twins named Adrian and Anthony. They're still infants.
Ummm........I think that might be all.....I'll update more.
So that's.....4 Boy/Girl
2 Boy/Boy
And..... 4 Girl/Girl :)
Austin and Alex were my first Cheesecake twins and also my first boy/boy set of twins :)
I'm now starting a familyhood thing. Paisley and her younger sister Janika are married and they both had babies. Paisley had a son, I think his name is Brylin. But Janika had a pair of totally natrual twins, I swear I did not use cheesecake! Both girls and their names are Mira and Ayla.

I've had a great number of natural twins in my many years of playing. And I swear, there's some sort of Murphy's Law of Apocalypse Challenges that says they're more likely to occur when you're at the roughest part of said challenge. :anime:
I've also had lots of "cheesecake twins".
No way could I remember and list them all. As for names, I do tend to choose twin-y names, most of the time.

The very first time I played the game I played the Curious house in Strangetown. Pascal had twins, a boy and a girl, and after thinking about what a bunch of nerd boys would name their kids I decided on Luke and Leia.
Just yesterday my good/evil witch sisters both had boy-girl twins on the same day (they both got knocked up by fertile Family sims). The good witch named her kids Joy and Truth, and the evil witch named hers Sorrow and Deceit.

I've had cheescake twins, Cardiff and Glasgow. Their mother is named London and I was going for a town naming theme, but it wasn't until much later that I suddenly thought "oh, I could've named them after twin towns!" All my other multiple births have been a result of twojeffs triplets and quads hack. If it's in my Uberhood, they get normal names, but in my themed hood, they get a mashup of the parent's names.

I currently have two sets of twin boys (who happen to be a set of four brothers), Asher/Cole and Kyle/Blake Broke and two boy/girl pairs, Lauren/Isaac Tinker and Danielle/Spencer Picaso. They're all natural and as you can see, their names don't match. None of my Sims have ever had twin girls.
A long time ago, I had twins named Artemis and Ares (Apollo had already been used for an older sibling). Around the same time, Darren and Darleen Dreamer had twin boys and kept the D name tradition going. Drake and David, if I'm remembering right.

Twins are practically an epidemic in my Strangetown. My personal theory is that the Beakers dumped a highly-experimental fertility drug into the water supply for the laughs (the joke's on them, though: they had twins, too.) While there's been a few sets of cheesecake twins, here are all the natural twins in my game:
Boy/Girl:
Test and Grimhild, born to Nervous and Frieda Subject
Grimnir and Pearl, born to Grimm and Ruby Subject
Cobol and Fortran, born to Pascal and Bella Curious
Gozer and Glozel, born to pollination technician Ellison Howe using Idun Grunt's genetic material.
Edgar and Ursula, born to Chester and Stella Gieke
Copernicus and Nibiru, born to Cassini and Atlantis Drone
Enos and Strelka, born to Ted and Laika Chun
Sylvester and Felix, born to Tara Kat after being abducted by aliens
Boy/Boy:
Surt and Siggeir, born to Loki and Circe Beaker
Girl/Girl:
Loyal and Unruly, born to Howitzer Grunt and Grimuara Subject
While there are some matching names, most of them have names about as normal as they come in Strangetown. Three of the sets of twins belong to the extended Subject family, though neither of the original Subject twins have had twins themselves (and Grimhild is married to Beaker twin Siggeir, with three singlet births. Evidently neither carries the "twin gene" pregnancy modifier.).

I'm almost certain I've had a Luke/Leia set of alien twins as well.
I've got two sets of twins in a custom 'hood, at the moment. Both boy/girl. One set is natural twins, and their names are Faye and Raye.
The other two are alien twins born to a werewolf, so I went looking for names related to wolves, and came up with Lobo (of course) for the boy. For the girl, I was delighted to find that Leloo means "wolf" (in Inuit, I think), and of course there's the bonus sci-fi Fifth Element reference.
I, too, often use mashups of parents' names, or variations of one parent's name, when naming kids, whether twins or singles.

I've had a lot of twins born in-game (couldn't possibly remember them all though). I think a lot of mine were boy/girl combos though, rather than same sex twins. Sometimes I give them twin names, but often I just give them non-twin names that fit in with whatever theme I happen to be naming the family after, or random names if there is no theme, especially if they're boy/girl twins. If they're girl/girl or boy/boy then I'm more inclined to give them twin names for some reason!

Let me think back.....
I have had no cheat twins (I entered the cheat ONCE and I still got a single girl)
There were about four sets back when I still played on my mom's computer that I can't remember the names of....
I didn't play too many legacy families (or families that had babies at all) before The Great Reinstall, so there were only five sets I can recall
-Annabelle/Ava Palenta
-Demi/Joe Jr. Palenta (younger siblings of the aforementioned)
-I forgot his name/I forgot the other one's name too Palenta (nephews of both aforementioned sets, I haven't played them since they were born and now they are lost, so....
-Two sets of Uno twins, one girl/girl, one boy/girl, that I do not recall the names of, and were not born-in-game
After The Great Reinstall, I've only had one set of twins born (girl/girl when I was hoping for a boy!) They are named Ada and May, as kind of a tribute to a favourite book character of mine who had a little baby sister named Ada-May.

My CAS families tend to continue exploiting the pun and in-joke possibilities built into their names until they run out. I will only ever do cutesy twin-themed names for twins if I think the parents are likely to succumb to that temptation.
When the Hawkins twins were born, I had a hawk name in mind for a boy, but not for girls. So what did I get? Twin girls. Marsha was relatively easy, but I just sat and stared at the second one for the longest time. Fortunately my husband was reading in the same room, so I asked him, and he promptly said: "Harriet." Because the marsh hawk is also known as the marsh harrier, duh, thank you dear. It stretches a little, it takes a lot of hawks to name that family.
The Gavigan twins were easy, as that family has a Biblical motif. Naomi is my favorite Biblical name, and Jeremiah was the first prophet I thought of, the game having already used Isaiah and I having already used Ezekial.
For the Ottomas twins, I thought it made sense to name them after Dora, who was going to be saddled with so much of their care; hence, Theodora and Ted (short for Theodore). So yeah, that was a cutesy and confusing twin name moment. I'll have to think of another set of names for the military Ottomases of Strangetown, so as to differentiate that family further from the Drama Acres version.
Estebanico Casa was already named after his father Esteban, and it made sense to name his firstborn the simlishized version of the name, Stephan. I wasn't about to have a Stephan and a Stephanie, though, so his twin sister was named Natasha, the closest I could get to a long form for Mom's name, Tosha.
Frank and Mark Munny are functional twins, one alien birth and one normal within a few hours of each other. The possible remaining unused names for the Munny family are Lira, Dolores, Penny, and Grant. It should be awhile before I need more Munny names than that.

Most of the twins in my neighborhoods are boy/girl fraternal twins.
As for names, lets see...
Bella Goth Novak's twins were named Isabella (taking the "Bella" from her name) and Marius "taking the Mar from Mark Novak's name).
In my Post Apocalyptic challenge hood, there was twins born named Byron and Bella.
In my legacy family, the founder had twin boys named Adam and Drake.
In my 100 baby challenge hood there have been twins named:
Brody & Cody
Dulcinea & Electra
Jordan & Kate
Luso & Milena
Tyler & Una
(I was going by the alphabet for that challenge to keep track. I'm on baby 35 now with a long way to go. :)

I've have a few sets in my current hood and have had lots in the past. Most are natural twins as I try to get my pregnant ladies to avoid cheesecake like the plague. I guess I name them twin themed names or at least I try to use the same first letter for their names. Sometimes though I bow to whatever theme I've got going on in the family name and always as to what I think the parents are mostly likely to like. If they are conservative then so are their kids names and so on.
Currently:
Alien boy/boy : Castor and Pollux
boy/boy: Stephen and Sean
boy/girl: Blade and Blaze
boy/girl: Trey and Tia
boy/girl: Daniel and Daphne
I was going to name a set Nick and Nora but the reference is to a famous detective married couple and it felt weird having them be siblings.

Are twins a 'genetic' thing in the game or is it just random?
Orilon
6th Apr 2012, 12:28 AM
I sometimes wonder if its genetic in certain families. For example, in the Monty family in Veronaville, Bianca Monty was prone to having twins, and when Romeo and Mercutio become adults they are prone to getting their respective wives pregnant with twins. (One time when I could play Sims 2, Romeo's wife gave birth to twins shortly after Mercutio's wife gave birth to twins.)
When Lillith and Angela Pleasant grow up, sometimes they had twins and sometimes they just had single births, same with their cousin Lucy Burb.
omglo

It often is genetic. Sims with the pregnancy modifier token are more likely to have twins. I don't know if it affects male Sims though. You can check your Sims memories with simpe to see if they have the hidden token.

I've had a LOT of twins in my current neighborhood because my founder happened to have twins without hacks, freetime benefits, or cheesecake, and it kind of took off from there. Since everyone is related to the founder, a lot of my twins married each other twins which probably just made it doubly likely.
Lets see if I can remember:
In this neighborhood I've had:
McGregors (the founding family - no cheats/hacks)
Emmalynn and Emily
Cormiers (No cheats/hacks):
MaryAnne & Mallory (They were taking Ma names because I realized both of their sisters had Ma names).
Henry & something with an R (no pattern here in the name).
Deppiesse (No Cheats/hacks):
Everest and whatever his twin sister's name was, I'm pretty sure it was also an E name. (She died young a long time ago).
Cami and Caleb - All of the kids had a Ca name.
Lillards (I used cheesecake on 2/3 of these though and I think you can see the theme here):
Paxton & Paris
Parker & Pacifica
Payton & Paisley
Ray (No cheats/hacks)
Jamie & Jordan
Another set of boy/girl that both had J names.
Wayne:
Bruce and Barry (all kids had a B name).
And one of my sims (cant remember the family name) had alien twins (boy and girl) without cheats/hacks for twins nor abduction. I didn't even know you could have twin aliens until that point. I didnt even know you could have boys because for some reason ever since I got this game years ago, I only ever had female alien babies. That was quite a shocker (and probably extremely painful on the poor father that had to birth them).
Those are only the sets of twins that I can remember right now. There are more in my game that I am just not thinking of right now...

Occasionally it will be genetic. Out of 5 born-in-game children, Reyna Palenta had two sets of twins (only one single). Later that single got his wife pregnant with twins (who sadly I never played as I exited the game after they were born and lost them in The Great Reinstall.)

Lots of twins--at the moment Kaylynn and Daniel have Ingrid and Diane. Malcolm Landgraab always in my game fathers twins, always. (Malcolm and Melina? What's his mom's name?) The Patels, I think, are expecting twins.
I always name the Ottomas twins in some way to honor their grandma/parents--Isadora, Samuel, and Patricia are names they've gotten before. (Dorie, Sammy, Pattie--my Ottomases are big on nicknames.)
Brandi Broke had quads once--the girl was Bethie after her grandma Betty, one of the boys was Dylan, I don't remember what I named the other two . . . Brandi strikes me as the sort who would pick popular or cutsie names. (She only had one this time, and predictably the baby is Bethie.)
My biggest theme for any kid's name is based off of a relative.

Too many to count. Although I do recall my first set of twins--they were a pain. I don't remember their names, although I recall the fact that they were ugly. I had to feed them and change their diapers CONSTANTLY...and back then I didn't know any cheats so I couldn't change that. It was around the first time I played The Sims, back when I started out playing with The Sims Life Stories...I can control their lives much easier now that I've played the actual Sims 2 for years :)

Ever since I started the Test of Time Challenge, I suddenly got a gazillion twins of all shades and genders; before, I think I only had maybe 5 or 6 sets of natural twins, which includes Brandi Broke's unborn kids and Samantha Ottomas's unborn kids. I generally like to name the twins with the same first letter (i.e. Adam and Aaron or Adam and Annie). I also like using the same themes; I remember that I named the Ottomas's boy-girl twins Sunny and Stormy (lame, I know :faceslap: ).
In my TOT Challenge, though, the boy-girl twins don't have the same first letter because the boys are named after their fathers and the girls are named after their mothers, and each founding parent's name begins with a different letter. Though, this naming system will probably change once the Roman Era rolls around (after all, how am I supposed to find an authentic Roman name that begins with the letter Z?).

I've had a great number of natural twins in my many years of playing. And I swear, there's some sort of Murphy's Law of Apocalypse Challenges that says they're more likely to occur when you're at the roughest part of said challenge.
I swear blind that my sims go for twins on their second birth since I instituted the two-child policy in Little Carping. However, I counted and realised I've only ever had four sets of twins in Little Carping, mostly same sex. I think I got that idea after I made the law then Janet Vaughan immediately produced twins on her second pregnancy. Though, to be fair the twin girls I have were also a second pregnancy post-rule.
Henry and Horace were the first pair and the result of only my second born-in-game pregnancy. I originally thought they were identical but they are slightly different: much like RL identical twins who are never exactly alike. Henry fathered twins himself but that's the only in-family trait I've seen so far. Interestingly, Gregory and Gareth are also close in appearance.
So
m/m
Henry and Horace
Gareth and Gregory
f/f
Sharryl and Kelsey (who hate each other)
m/f
Torvin and Gretchen
No particular name rule though I notice I do go for starting with the same letter at times (also a noticeable trait with regular siblings).

I'll think about how many I can remember (with a little help of the family tree maker I made a while back):
Tevin & Tamia (M/F)
Tyrone & Tyson (M/M)
James & Jared (M/M)
Jennifer & Danielle (F/F)
Steve & Eve (M/F)
Malik & Malinda (M/F)
Lance & Lacey (M/F)
Eric & Erica (M/F)
Simon & Diamond (M/F)
Derrick & Daisey (M/F)
Leonard & Lenore (M/F)
Jason & Freddy (M/M)
Damien & Balthasar (M/M)
This was over years and years (2005-2012) of playing the same neighborhood. I can't believe there was only one F/F twin set. And those two looked nothing alike too. One came out with red hair the other with black hair. And I guess I do have a system of naming. Majority have the first letter the same. Two sets rhymes. And the last two are part of a themed family - I gave the whole family horror names. And an honorable mention goes to my quints, a glitch, so I didn't know they were quints until the last baby was born:
Whitney, Mariah, Chad, Toni, Chandler (F/F/M/F/M) - I named the girls based on R&B singers (I had a lot of those: Janet, Mya, Tamia, etc.), the boys were a bit of a spin on their father's fathers (they had gay granddads) last names.

There are quite a few twins in my Pleasantview neighborhood.
Born-in-game twins:
Brittney&Hailey (daughters of Jaqueline and Reginald Taylor)
Rupert&Wyatt (sons of Lyndsey and Francis J. Worthington III)
Hannah&Harold (daughter and son of Brandi and Dominique Broke)
MalcolmV&Pamela (son and daughter of Jodie and Malcolm Landgraab IV)
I say quite a few because this was just the second generation. None of these pairs are teens yet. Also, there are the premade Pleasant, Larson, and Davis twins. Funny enough Lilith and Aldric are married to each other, and both Jason and Almeric are gay. Not for each other, just gay.
I remember my first attempt at a legacy challenge. The second pregnancy Brandi and Jonas Arcadia went through was a twin pregnancy. I didn't have ACR then so it came out of nowhere. UUUGGGGHHHH.

Right, just so peeps are aware, I have Trips&Quads in my game, but I've not tinkered with the default settings in this hood. Any T&Q multiples are a direct result of those "natural" settings. ACR is also in the hood, but to my knowledge that mod has no bearing on the chances of multiples.
Boy/Boy twins (12)
Bailey/Brandon
Daniel/Terry
Connor/Craig
George/Jesse
Neil/Oscar
Caspar/George (I forgot that I'd already got one George in-game at the time... :faceslap: )
Draco/Orion
Lionel/Sebastian
Christopher/Stephen
Robert/Sidney
Adam/Vincent
David/Timothy
Boy/Girl twins (15)
Malcolm/Hannah
Aaron/Alicia
Ian/Lara
Trevor/Melody
Peter/Charlotte
Reuben/Nicola
Lysander/Hermia
Andrew/Beverley
Tony/Tabitha
Maurice/Jayne
Harry/Elizabeth
Johua/Chloe
Octans/Crux
Michael/Erin
Harold/Kitty
Girl/Girl twins (6)
Naomi/Ruth
Poppy/Rose
Andromeda/Aurora
Bellatrix/Cassiopeia
Felicity/Jemima
Katie/Klara
I do have a few larger numbers (2 or 3 sets of triplets plus one set of quads) but singletons and twins are the most likely outcomes of all pregnancies in the hood.
All those with unusual astronomical names are born following their human parent's abduction. I sometimes keep to the same initial, but as proved above, it's not as common as I thought.
Cookies to anyone who spots one of the other "name themes" I had going on...

I have had lots and lots of twins in my game during the time I´ve been playing it. It would be impossible to remember all of them. I used to hate twins, but now I have nothing against them at all - in fact I often have the mother eating cheesecake to get twins.
In my current custom neighborhood I have had the following twins:
Boy/boy (4)
Dirk and Daniel
Kane and Mike
Erik and Gustaf
Hugo and Igor
Girl/girl (2)
Angela and Anne
Hanna and Magdalena
Boy/girl (6)
Johannes and Elisabeth
Sandra and Viktor
Rasmus and Emilia
Fayla and Legolas
Martin and Minna
Emil and Linda
If I´m counting right that would mean 24 of my born-in-game-sims are twins. If I don´t miss someone I should have 58 born-in-games in total, which would mean that around 41 % of all my sims born in game are twins.
I don´t really have any special system when it comes to names. I have given them names that starts with the same letter in some cases, but mostly not.

I name my Sims almost always after their grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, etcetera, and their names aren't equally at all. My current 'hood is at generation 3 and with just 11 names (I will ad at most 8 more names) I think at one time there will be twins that have the same names (just slightly different, like Jaden and Jayden), because their grandparents and their father/mother share the same name xD

I've had mostly boy/girl sets, followed by girl/girl, and boy/boy seems to be rare for me.

My German sims (Dieter and Emma) had twins, Burkhard and Karola, but then the game was set back in time, so they don't exist, but I have cloned Emma.

Twins and more are rare in my game even though I do have the quad hack and have it set to 28 single/24 twin/24 trip/24 quad odds. Since my reinstall last week due to overwriting the 02 secret hoods when installing blank templates and not backing them up, I've only had twins once so far and it was on purpose. Brandi Broke had twin boys Adam and Connor. A-dam Broke and Conn-or Broke. Hehe

I've only had one set of twins born in-game without the benefit of hacks and mods. But with those, I've had dozens.

I currently have triplets in my game. I have the random hack; I was not expecting that many especially since I didn't change the percentage.

My first 2 sets of natural twins were in an unmodded base game.
-The first were 2 boys, I had named them Fred and George (after the Weasely twins). They were completely identical and born to my CAS sims
-The second set were two girls born to Albany Capp and his wife Titania Capp (previously Summerdream). They were completely non-identical and were called Cinderella and Rapunzel.
After OFB (and cheesecake) Twins have become really common in my game. Here are the latest twins to be born in my game. They are Anil and Sunil, the sons of Erin Singles and Ajay Loner. Strangely though, their birth has been completely unaided by cheesecake or the FT 'twins' reward benefit. Natural twins after a long time!

Girl/Girl:
Ruby-Mae and Anthea Ottomas (the ones Samantha is originally pregnant with)
Mitzi and Cheyenne Loner (Ruby-Mae's daughters with Anwar Loner)
Charlotte and Sylvia Goth (twins of Michael Goth and Brendon Broke)
Aimee and Penny Burb (twins of Henry Burb and Tiffany Sampson)
Boy/Girl
Lucrezia and Michael Goth (twins of Dina Caliente and Mortimer Goth)
Omar and Parvati Patel (twins of Ana and Ramir Patel)
Maisie and Spencer Broke (twins of Lucy Burb and Beau Broke)
Boy/Boy
Anwar and Vikram Loner (twins of Lola Singles and Ajay Loner)
Gideon and Fabian Moonbeam (twins of Jimmy Phoenix and Blossom Moonbeam)
Jacob and Joseph Grunt (twins of Buck Grunt and Jill Smith)
Jimmy and Jasper Grunt (second set of twins of Buck and Jill!)
That's the lot of them, I think! I like that Ruby-Mae and Anwar, both twins themselves, had twins together :D Lucrezia is now married to Benedick Monty and I was hoping their twin-genetics would kick in as well but so far they've only had one single child.

Since I started playing Sims 2 again (a year ago I think) I had some twins in my game, but not too often (I don't like cheating with this, so every time it happens that a woman gives birth to twins, it's all natural).
First time Brandi Broke gave birth to twin boys (her thirst pregnancy).I can't say it wasn't my fault, because she ate Cheesecake ^^" But I didn't know back then that eating that makes her give birth to twins >.> She gave birth to Liam and Oliver Broke.
Then Nina Calliente-Lothario had twin boys, Alejandro and Alberto Lothario ^^ It just happens and even if I didn't plan it (and the house was a little small for three kids - they already had a daughter - I was very happy).
And it happened again in Pleasantview, but this time with a CAS family that I added to make things a little more different.Charlotte and her husband, Lucien, had twin girls, Amber and Ruby.
And I think those are all the sets of twins that were born in Pleasantview. Now that I remember this I really miss those characters ... When I'll get my laptop back I think I'll play some more round with them ^^ I got too preoccupied with my medieval challenge and forgot about them.
But, in the medieval times there were twins too ^^
So, the first set of twins born was in the Valois family.Françoise de Valois gave birth to twin girls, Marion and Agnesot in 1604.And then in 1615 she gave birth to one more set of twin girls, Eleonore and Louise ^^ I couldn't be happier because I almost couldn't believe it happened twice in the same family (well, the fact that Françoise gave birth to 11 children has something to do with it too, I think ^^" ).
Then ... the King's oldest daughter, Princess Blanche de Croy married one of Françoise's sons and in 1617 she also gave birth to twin girls, Marie and Isabelle de Valois (seems like twins run in this family >.> I have to play more and study this aspect ^^ ).
I almost forgot about the d'Albon family ^^ Guigues' second wife, Marie Victoire de Noilles gave birth to twin girls too (her first pregnancy), Isabelle and Sophie, in 1608.
I also recently attempted a legacy and there has also been a set of twin girls whom I named London and Paris.
Well, most of the time I choose cute names for my twins (even if sometimes I think I exaggerate ^^" ).But when I'm playing medieval I give the twins normal names.
I think I never had a boy&girl set of twins ... Too bad.I would love to ^^
Brandi Broke's twins, Liam and Oliver. They are identical O.o And so cute ^^

One family. Five generations. Ten sets of twins. No cheats, no cheesecake, no tinkering with the multiple odds (in fact, most of them were born without Triplets & Quads installed).
(actually, three generations - first was just one couple, fifth is one baby so far, but...)
Yup, VT is rambling on about her Nuidya Tribe hood again. Since everyone's related there, I'm saying the Nuidya have a genetic tendency to produce twins... it might be a trait of the unknown alien race they are descended from.
There were two sets of twins born into the second generation. It might not sound like many, but the founding couple only had five kids. So only the firstborn wasn't a twin - her name was Azanni, and then there were Avei and Avira (twins, boy/girl) followed by Ace and Asaro (ditto). It was an alphabet legacy at the time. I don't tell that to everyone. ;)
Third generation = twins everywhere. Azanni and her husband Russ had four kids, the youngest being twin girls Banei and Binidu.
Avira. Avira was a twin machine. Two sets with her husband Orlando (Will and Nita followed by Halu and Cassie) and one with Peter Sims, the Garden Club guy, since I didn't have clean templates then. Those two were Claire and, er, Shaun? I forget. All boy/girl pairs.
Avei didn't have twins, but he and his wife Kaylynn did have triplets. Two girls, Azanni II (better known as "Stormy") and Haze, and one boy, Jasper. It was around the time they became toddlers that I decided not to use T&Q any more - I've only just re-downloaded it.
Ace and his wife were both werewolves, so their twin boys were called Romulus and Remus. They always went by Rommy and Remy though.
Asaro is the only one who didn't have multiples. She has no descendants today, because both her kids died young when the Great Plague hit (in other words: my in-game reason for why none of the lizard-skinned Sims made it into my first remake of the hood when I switched computers and thought I could give up CC).
Ace's wife Sophie and Azanni's husband Russ both survived the Plague. They ended up getting together and had twins, Hope and her brother Ben (Benjamin was the male founder of the tribe). Hope now lives in another Simmer's hood - the first and probably last Nuidya to leave the tribe.
As an added note, five third-gen Sims survived the plague (count 'em, five. Isn't that a lot? Especially when the founders had over 20 grandkids!) and of them all, only one didn't have a dead twin. Viru, Avei's love child with a townie. The others were Rommy, Cassie, Claire and Binidu.
The fourth generation has had two set of twins so far. Cassie and her husband Jorthu had twin girls, Sena Seerijata (Sena II - Sena was the female founder of the tribe) and Roma (Rommy had, at least in my mind, led the survivors to safety after the disaster ended). Then they had a boy and a girl, Hestrie and Uchenna. My mum picked the names out of a book of sporting records or something, and they were toddlers before I looked myself and discovered that I'd muddled the genders. :giggler: By then, the names had stuck.
Cassie had two sets of twins, her mother had three and her grandmother had two. None of her kids are parents yet but I'm watching them like a hawk.
Uchenna and Hestrie were the most recent set of twins - they're now 14. However, Ben and his wife Angel are expecting twins according to the ACR scanner, which will make eleven in about nine rotations. Until then, that's all from VT and her Sim twins.

Aah you've got loads! My vampire had twins with no cheats or OFB or anything, a boy and a girl, I called them Melon (girl) and Grapefruit (boy) as they are in the Nectarine family and the mum is called Satsuma and the dad is called Tangerine! I know they're silly but I was running out of names and like to just name new sims the first thing that pops into my head, rather than thinking about it too much.
I also made my Team Rocket sims have 2 babies with aging off, so they're kind of twins!

I have 16 pairs of twins spread over four neighborhoods. I also have two neighborhoods that are so far without twins. They are all born-in-the-game and I have used no cheats or cheesecake. I was as dismayed as delighted by my first set of twins. The delight has worn off and I am just dismayed when I get twins now. I wish they showed up less often--if there was a hack to prevent twins I would use it. I did not realize until the subject came up but only 4 sets are boy/boy. 7 sets are girl/girl and 5 are boy/girl twins. Some sets have 'twin' names, while others do not. I have Isaac & Tobias, Lilian & Lio, Siobhan & Sorcha, Ling & Lien, Brian & Ben, Grace & Graham, Jesse & Iris, Else & Josef, Castor & Pollux, Arachne & Ariadne, Hecuba & Hera, Medea & Morag, Calliope & Meriope, Gardenia & Wisteria, Silvania & Solomom, Chase & Chance.

I had one, thanks to this download: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=250640
When you open it with SimPE, go to 'Behavior Constant (BCON) (2)', then to 'Global Tuning' (not 'Global Tuning 2'). Down under the screen you got a list. Scroll to 'Pregnancy - % for twins', and set the 'Dec' Value (left) to 0. Standard it is set to 10.
This worked in my game for months, and I think it is okay since all pregnancies were fine, but I don't know for sure, don't have any experience with modding.
