Hi all This is a long post but I am hoping someone here knows whats wrong with my game, I have every expansion pack and every stuff pack and it is fully patched on my laptop, I have never had this problem as such before but every time I try and save on my game my laptop turns off. Now I say as such because my laptop has over heated before while playing the sims and it has gone off and when I switch it back on it always goes to recovery mode this time its not, I switch it back on and windows comes back on straight away so this is in itself unusual, I know it's not over heating because I have just replaced the thermal paste in it because I thought that was what was wrong with it but alas it's still doing it, I also thought it was because I had picked up a bug so I wiped my hard drive and started again from fresh, while putting on some CC yesterday it did it again and all I was doing was installing I hadn't even had my game on since installing it so that was odd also. Today when I put on the game for the first time I played the game for about ten minutes then tried to save it and it switched off again, now I'm at a loss on what is wrong. Any help would be very appreciated
Thanks
Kelliemac

If your laptop is overheating on a regular basis, you are probably destroying your computer. You can expect to see more and more problems as time progresses.

You should also provide us with your system specs, so that we can tell you whether your computer is up to playing the game:

Hi and thanks for the quick response, I have read what it says in the articles about the graphic card

===============================================================
Blurry clothes, skin and eyes on your sims
Blurry textures on objects and on the ground
Blurry reflections in mirrors
Blurry/crunchy thumbnails in the Buy and Build catalogue
Graphics may become distorted and textures may get strange patterns or holes over them. (Artifacts)
Water in neighbourhood view (TS2) shows up as big blue blocks, instead of a smooth shoreline with waves and reflections
Game crashes to desktop, the colors go weird and the resolution drops, and an error message tells you that your graphics drivers have stopped responding
The computer still appears to be running but the screen goes totally black. The computer will not recover and must be crashed.
Computer overheats and shuts itself down

================================================================

None of these things are happening in my game it has over heated before but not for a long time, I have a laptop cooling fan on all the time. My laptop has always been able to run the sims 3 since I have had it so I know its not that problem either, I did forget to put that the new showtime expansion pack was a digital download instead of the hard copy, this is the only game that I have ever downloaded if that makes a difference

You need to post in the Help section.
