Page Up/ Upstairs Level Disabled?

Hi~!

2 days ago, I had an issue with an invisible Sim and then my HUD disappeared. I solved the issue somehow on the 2nd try, but the very next day I tried playing the game again and my HUD disappeared, although after numerous attempts of trying to fix the issue again, it never worked.

So, then I decided to start a new game. After playing my new household, I noticed that my page up button is completely disabled in the HUD and when I try pressing the actual button on the keyboard, it also doesn't work.

I know, it MIGHT possibly be the same issue as the disappearing HUD, but I was wondering if there is a solution for this.

I always search and find solutions on my own but this time, I really need help. :cry:

I have Sims 3 Showtime installed and the patch is up to date.

I'm not really sure what other information I should put on here, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

(I also tried the steps in the Sims Wiki help numerous of times and nothing seems to help.)

It would be useful if you could tell us what steps of which wiki article you tried, and what exactly didn't work.

In particular, I need to know whether it works if you refresh your user files or not.

Oh, it's okay now!

Lately though, I've noticed that every time I delete the cache files and try to reload the game, it takes several tries for the game to work. This has never happened before the last update. It was when I installed Showtime and updated the patch, that I had the invisible Sim and the Page Up problems.

Although, deleting the cache files and restarting the game has resolved it (but now, instead of one attempt, it has become several), I'm wondering if EA is going to fix this problem or even knows if this Page Up problem exists.

Are you using any CC or mods? If so, remember that they need updating too. It would be worth testing without your CC/ Mods to determine if that is the cause, and with a fresh savegame and fresh user files, as in the Game problem Guide. I'm not seeing this in my game which makes me think it's somthing to do with your setup and not a game bug.
