View Full Version : Turning off Memory Notifications

I've been staring at the game options off and on all day long. I can't remember if it was a setting where I could turn off the notifications of memories, or it was a game mod I downloaded.

Can anyone refresh my memory? If it is a mod, do you know where it might be? I've got all EPs and SPs and I'm updated to the latest version/patch.
If it's an option I can turn off, where is it? Show me a screen shot?

Thanks in advance! :)

I don't know of a way to turn off just the notifications; but velocitygrass' memories mod allows you to totally disable your choice of ridiculously pointless and repetitive memories (like "went to the park"...).

Awesome, thank you! Yea, I couldn't remember if it was an option or mod. It should have been obvious to me since I couldn't find it anywhere in my settings, but I wanted to double check. I don't think they need memories for EVERY single thing they do. I don't mind them being on, but I don't like the notification.

EDIT
Oh wait, will this mod/tool work on a Mac?

All mods should work on a mac, AFAIK. There's a check box to turn off notifications under the general settings (gear icon), "Enable Memory Notification". Uncheck it and you should stop getting notifications.

The mod will work; I'm not sure about the tool to customise the mod. It's pretty simple though, so you could probably run it in Mono.

Thanks Mordant17! I know that all mods work on Macs - I was just wondering if the tool worked or not. I could have worded it differently. :P
But wow, I must be blind since I couldn't find that. I'll look it over again once I load the game. I seriously looked through the settings throughout the day today.

whiterider ; Thank you! That's one thing I wonder about. I could download it and see for myself. The worst that will happen is that it won't work.
