Create a Sim Basics

I can not use the basics part in Create-a-Dim. Everything else in Create-a-Sim works just fine, but the basics part is completely unusable. I recently got Pets, if that may help. Does anyone know what the problem is?

What do you mean by completely unusable? Do you get an error message? If you're having a hard time explaining it, posting a screenshot might be helpful.

If I try to click on anything on the basics, it doesn't at all change. If I try to click on the name, nothing happens. Skin, nothing happens, etc.

It's a trouble shooting method; doing that will help us to determine whether your problem is due to user data, game data or your hardware. So please do each step and let us know what helps and what doesn't.
