Ah, Photobucket. I don't trust you anymore because of how you link my shared photos to your malicious attacks. Thank goodness I never gave you any valid information. You probably support terrorists.
So that's the problem, or MY problem and anyone's who uses Photobucket to show their pictures. Viewers get stealth attacked by malicious programming that were linked by ME. Seeking a new photo sharing site that is free, will not demand crucial information, and is safe for those who are members and for those who are viewers of linked material.
Off topic / captain obvious complaint:
Damn, the internet. Everyone wants your info. Free online virus scan. Alert! You have viruses! Send us your email and credit so we can help you. Need a .dll file because yours is corrupted? Email address! Every site I want to go to, I have to search its name and add the word 'scam' to see what results.

I use modyourpanties (http://www.modyourpanties.com/) for sim specific pictures and imgur (http://imgur.com/) for everything else.
I lost faith in photobucket long ago, so I feel ya'.

Just make an e-mail address specifically for this type of subscriptions.

It seems to work just the same for me, maybe I'm not seeing problems because I script block everything?

For me, it was the other way around, Imageshack almost tried to give me fake antivirus malware....

Imageshack is great for me, no problems since 2008, get adblockplus and it eliminates 99% of ads and attacks, Chrome's malware protection is surprisingly efficient too.

I love imgur so much that I bought a subscription there :D
No recaptcha bullshit, no bandwidth limits, no obnoxious advertisements, no re-sizing your photos and forcing you to purchase a premium account to upload larger pics :wtf:
It has an easy drag-and-click interface for organizing albums. However, it seems for me that the servers go down every now and then =/

I've been tempted to use photobucket, but then I keep hearing people complaining about it. xD
I've used Imageshack for the past few years and they pretty much disowned everything that made it simple to use. Why can't people just stop messing with things that ain't broken. -.-

In some quarters of the economy, if you're not spending money you don't need the money. That's a signal that your product should be cheaper, or that you're not investing in your business. Therefore you're compelled to spend money on things even when you don't need to, because that proves you have value as an employee and as a business, that you're worth every dime people invest in you.
So people change things that they don't need to, because not changing things doesn't show that you're doing any work and if you're not doing any work then you obviously don't need your job.

So they make these changes... just to prove to us that their employees are NOT not working? Let me tell you, Gmail used to be so accessible that my grandmother could email on her own. Then they changed the interface to be more 'impressive,' meaning they hid previous buttons behind mouseover buttons no longer readable, but instead used icons that could easily be mistaken for decoration. When she asked for help, their new 'improvements' served only to frustrate me and make things harder for her. I wonder if each corporation has a meter called 'customer approves' which does not draw from real approval, but instead slowly drains over time to serve as a doom counter, at which time upper management begins sending in the devilishly gleeful re-evaluation interviewers.

I used to use gmail when it was a new "thing" to have. Everyone had it. Then, just a few weeks ago, I have to log into my friend's account to get a file - and everything's all "WHAT WHERE IS . . . WAIT . . ." *promptly clicks on own hotmail inbox*
But back on topic I agree imageshack has changed, it's very . . . finnicky. It works for me cos I use it almost every day, but your mileage may vary. Another good substitute is the site's own hosting service, modyourpanties.

I stopped trusting Photobucket years ago. Don't really remember why, but yeah. I never even view images linked to Photobucket.
I use Tinypic now. They have a lot of ads but no popups or attack warnings.
I don't trust Imageshack either since every time I go there I get tons of pop-ups and have gotten a few virus/attack warnings before from there too. I know I probably sound stupid here, but the whole website confuses me anyways and I always have trouble figuring out how to use it when my husband tells me to use it.

Photobucket went bad so swapped to imageshack. Then imageshack shot themselves in the foot by requiring you being registered.
Now I just host it myself for small stuff. I use imageshack for things like MTS as I already had a profile there for the MTS contest. But most of the time I forget my PW and just not upload the pictures at all :(
But I always remove the "hosted by IS" link.

I don't need to register to use imageshack. I think if you register, it keeps up with your images. But I've never been forced to register with imageshack.

Maybe I'm lost here now :( there was something that required a register, at least some while back (as late as last year) that I just couldn't get over.

I have nothing wrong with my account on photobucket and the links are working properly.
I have six photos displaying on my Mod The Sims Profile and there are no signs of missing links..
I signed up Photobucket since last year.
I'm using free version, not pro =)
