Way to not get promoted?

Hello all,

I was just wondering if there is any way out there to stop my sim from getting promoted?

I accidentally maxed out all my sim's required skills to get promoted in the Military Career. But I want him to stop at Top Gun and not get promoted anymore. For a start, I testingcheatsenabled true and made enemies with my boss.

Is there anything else I could do? Any downloads or mods?

Can't you just choose the slacker option like how most careers have a "sleep" or "screw off" option at work?

You could use the testingcheatsenabled true cheat on and just reset his career every time he gets promoted? I think eventually the slacker option could still get you promoted, depending on the other requirements?

Every time he gets promoted, using the TCE cheat and then shift+click on the mailbox and then set his career back down.
Or you could have him work normally at work until the bar is almost full, then have him slack off until the bar goes back down.

Skipping the day of work from time to time does the trick for me.

Just don't go to work, every hour you stay at home a big chunk of your performance goes down. (:

well in the end, I got promoted so i just TCE and shift-clicked the mailbox and chose top gun. Thanks for everybody who replied!

Also, if anyone really does find any mods or hacks to make promotions harder, please do post a link here!
