game not loading (apartment life)

having a problem loading the game. after clicking on the icon i get an error telling me to use original disk not back up.

game was working fine a couple of days ago, disk is a clean original. problem occurs with and without CC

bypassing the launcher didnt work. i dont have any disk emulating software installed. my graphics drivers are up to date. downloading patch now but i'm pretty sure i already have it installed. other disks work fine in the drive and this was working at the weekend when i last played :( . been trying to fix it for 4 and a half hours now, might give in and un/re install

Maybe you just need a new disk? Disks go bad sometimes, you know.
