Can Lunar Lakes be purchased via store (Origin) for Mac?

I wanted to get Lunar Lakes, went to the store, was prompted to sign up for Origin in order to use the store feature, researched Origin a bit and found that it isn't compatible with Mac. (Mac users who purchase games via Origin cannot actually install them and are not warned ahead of time about this, apparently)
So..how are folks with Macs supposed to purchase anything from the store now?
Is there some workaround or fix in place I just haven't heard about?

I do see some folks on Macs posting about their Lunar Lakes games..should I assume they bought the world before the Origin-store came to be and if any Mac user wants to buy it now they are SOL?
