I've been trying to download and install non default skins in the Sims 3 for several weeks now, but no luck thus far. I'm able to install .package files correctly (some furniture that shows up in the game, so I assume that means it's working, not to mention I did the "no intro" test, which worked), however, when I go to install skins (always non default), they won't show up in the game. The skins are located here: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods

I know you need to scroll to see more than six of the skin bubbles, but when I try to scroll, nothing shows. I've tried using a different mouse, but still no scrolling (though both mouses scrolled in other areas while playing the game). Then, I went and downloaded CmarNYC's XCAS core mod (the one that's supposed to show more than six skin colours at a time). Still no luck.

Then, I thought that maybe the two sets of skins I'd downloaded were wrong, so I tried several different more. Nothing.

Please, I'm going crazy trying to figure this out, please help!
