How does ensorcel work?

I have a Genie that joined the family. One of the Genie powers she can do to other Sims is ensorcel. I know this means to have control basically or be able to have them do your bidding. The question is . . . how do I "control" the other Sim? I don't see anything in any pie menu.

The ensorcelled sim gets added to your family for 4 in-game hours. You give him orders just like you would a normal family member, by selecting him. If you don't give him any orders, he just stands there.

I have used it on Paparazzi that hang around and nothing like that happens. I have run my game without mods to test if that was the problem and I still get nothing. Thanks for the answer though.

Paparazzi seem to be a special kind of sims. Lots of things don't work on them as they do on normal sims. Have you tried ensorcelling a regular sim?

Doesn't work on NPCs.

And you can't have more than 8 sims (including pets) in your household.
