[Deruptus]

Umm... hi! I finally got around to drawing out some of my own ideas and I'd love to know what you think of them! Any criticism is welcome :)

Oh, two of these are photographs, one slightly edited and the other not edited (apart from a watermark)

These drawings were done mostly on A3/A4 paper, took somewhere between three to eight hours each and were done with LetraSet Tria markers (and no, they have not been edited further than they should have been- my scanner is old and adds a sort of transparent grey layer to all my drawings before I clean them up.)

Umm... so, it's been a bit of a rough week, was stuck in bed for the past four days. :|

I had my chemistry exam today.
I so failed that.

Umm, I've had a bit of block lately, my D.a.I sketch has been put on hold for a bit. Until then there'll be no nice drawings from me.My style of drawing is generally messy, so this as good as it's gonna get. :|

This took me an hour, meant to be a quick doodle with just one green pencil. And a pen for the features and my name. :P

My green pencil is now half it's original length. :(

This is... terrible!It wouldn't be up here either, if it weren't for the fact that I made a promise to myself to upload anything I draw, if I didn't I wouldn't have uploaded anything to date. :|

I'm a 'deep thinker' so my drawings are representations of the thoughts I've had that've held particular meaning for me. So I guess I'm inspired by my own thoughts, I just change that thought into an idea, to represent what I've thought. It's only rarely the second thing you mentioned. :)

Just got back from my Biology exam.

Nothing I do turns out as nicely as I imagine it in my head. ;A;

I was lucky it rained. It's actually pretty sunny now. :D

The only things I changed were the brightness and contrast.

I shouldn't be allowed near ink-pens when I'm tired.
Because this is what results from being near them.

An attempt at drawing a human. Myself! After scrapping the first one, I managed to do this in about 5/6 hours? After a dozen alterations, based off the answers to my question 'Does this actually look like me?'. - Sorry about the line running through the middle, I'll have to get rid of that later.

Edit: I got rid of that line, and made the change that someone suggested. - Apparently I look prettier in person, my reaction to that was cackling madly for a moment and becoming teary-eyed.

So, the recent HS update's given me a reason to draw some fanart again. I hope, I'll finish this soon, I seem to be on a roll with sketches and dumps, but I can't seem to finish them. :|

I'm actually quite proud of this one. :3

Done entirely with six pencil colours, three shades of green, two of grey and a black pencil.

And apparently promising not to upload anything until I'd finished this meant disappearing off the face of the internet for three days.

If I could choose to be any fictional character, I'd be her.

Wow, you use a lot of cool colours in all these example, is there a specific reason. I also noticed that you tend to sketch in a specific direction... north to south, or south to north, even when you shade haha! It's very interesting, have you ever tried hatching? Or cross hatching? That I think would make for an interesting experiment....

Thank you! And, yes, I have tried various hatching techniques but that was more so when I used to have art classes in year 9 or 10, I haven't tried it since then, and I'm not sure what you mean by sketching in a specific direction...? Especially when you said shading in a specific direction... ^^; As for the colours, they're warm as well in some cases, but I like cool colours, these are my ideas, or rather, my emotions in drawn form, so they tend to reflect something in every detail.
