Showtime Jukeboxes and MP3 Players not giving mood effect

Every time one of my Sims is listening to a jukebox or an mp3 player, the "Listening to Music" moodlet is there, but it doesn't give them any mood effect. Is there any possible way to fix this problem?

I don't think it's a problem with my game, just the expansion itself. All the other stereos work just fine.

Try going through that FAQ anyway, especially step 3. If you do, then you can make sure that the problem actually is with the expansion, not something else.
