Is it possible to import a lot from The Sims 2?

Is it possible to do this? I specifically want to import Hinata House Dormitory (link: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=304279) from The Sims 2.

:( I am stuck between the Sims 2 and Sims 3... on one hand The Sims 2 has great looking Sims and has a lot of content. On the other the Sims 3 sims look like they were dipped in acid... and the in-game camera sucks >.<

Also is your avatar supposed to represent ego or confidence? or what? NOTE: I like cats :3!

I checked out his profile and I am thinking of just making my own... [EDIT] I think I am going to try using this lot (http://www.modthesims.info/d/224983) in place of the old Sims 2 one because it seems like a good fit :3

I'm not sure if you mean you want to use that lot in your Sims 2 game or your Sims 3 one, but if you mean your Sims 3 one, please note that that lot is for Sims 2! (He makes lots for both TS2 and TS3, so you need to check to be sure which game each one is for - look at the icons either above each thumbnail on the creator's profile page, or on the Downloads tab of the individual thread, to see which is which - also, anything uploaded earlier than June 2009 is going to be TS2.)

Oops sorry to sound confusing... I meant the lot I mentioned in my earlier post I will be using that in my Sims 2 game ;). I think for now I will be staying with the Sims 2 primarily.
