Is there a way to make Sims3Pack files into package files?

My launcher hasn't been working lately, it doesn't show any of the custom content that it's installed through the launcher, but I have no complaints cause my game hasn't crashed since. but that being said, is there any way I could convert the sims3pack files into package files so I can use them?

Don't rely on what the launcher say, it randomly seems to forget what's installed, check if item/s are ingame.

If it's a item like clothing or similar you can use Sims3Pack Multi Installer to extract the package/s and then put them your mods folder, it won't work with lots and stuff like that though (it can extract from any sims3pack but package/s won't work ingame).
And doing it with store items might work or it might not.
Also many installed sims3packs are extracted to DCBackup when installing using the launcher (just they only have number so you won't know what is what), some say you can put them in your mods folder and item/s will be ingame, i have no idea if that works or not i never tried.

IIRC, lots, sims, worlds, and patterns made with the EA pattern-maker should not be extracted. Store items need to be run through a separate tool before you extract them, but should install fine through the Launcher (and if they don't, I'd bother EA about it - it's their program and their stuff and ya paid for it, they'd best provide support).

does this extractor work for macs or would i have to something different? it's only a few objects, hair and outfits from tsr.
& i'm not exactly sure what went wrong with my launcher, it just stopped showing the things installed out of the blue one day, and hasn't shown them since. I've re-installed and still nothing. I'm not too worried though because my game used to crash all the time now, but since it stopped working it doesn't crash anymore so it's okay! The objects are just so perfect, i need them in game, but they're all in sims3pack form >__<
