View Full Version : Package Files won't show up in CAW
23rd May 2012, 4:54 PM
Hey, I tried doing a search and was unable to find an aswer to this (my Search-Fu may suck, to be honest.) I've been trying to install the the Riverview files from simsample's thread (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=427515) and have followed the directions to install the framework and such but the package files continue to not show up in CAW. Some of the items show up when I launch the game (like the water tower, scarecrow, water tank) but others like the distant terrain or bridge pieces show up neither in game or in CAW.
Any suggestions or help?

Put them in sims3packs and install through the launcher?

This would have been better asked in the download thread! ;)
For the bridges and DT, note that there are two versions- one for in-game and one for in CAW. You need to have both installed for the items to work in game.
This is because some of the objects were part of the Riverview world file, and so cannot be used unless you are playing Riverview. To get around this, I cloned those objects and so they are essentially custom items. However, because the bridges and DT are not really useful to the player in the world editor mode in-game (they are easy to place but very difficult to manoeuvre or delete!) I made two versions- one that will show up in CAW/World editor, one that will not. So to have the objects working in-game you need the in game objects in your game Mods folder.
