Hello everybody,
I find my Sims mating like rabbits as of late and even with an extremely short lifespan mod they....they just live for too long D:
I have thought of a plague-like hack that might make sicknesses more serious and might have them appear more often.
My Sims usually catch a cold once in a blue moon and then they get immediately well again. This doesn't happen in real life <.<
So yeah, I'm open for your suggesstions

Avaron made a real sickness hack. It makes illnesses more serious. If you want to have some catastrophic fun, get a sim to make a virus with the science career reward, invite some sims to your house, and spread the love. Aw yeah.

Stop being nice to everyone. Make some enemies, they'll come and kick your rubbish over. Then come roaches, then comes flu. Also, let your sims eat rotten fod. Hello food poisoning.

Fulfill fears instead of wants. Install mods to reduce income, raise bills, no 20k money handout when they move out on their own, harder jobs. Negative memories shorten their lifespans once they're elders. ETA: Or they're supposed to, I think I had to get a hack to fix it and make it actually work. If you're not averse to supernaturals, Pescado has a zombie apocalypse mod that lets zombies turn Sims into more zombies. I hear it works rather well.
It is a bit bothersome that making Sims unhappy and struggling takes more effort than making them happy and successful, though; I hear you there.

@Fivey: I downloaded that hack! Thank you!!
@Tempscire: I already have all of these mods...except for the one with the zombies, but I hate zombies <.<
I'll make it a goal to make my sims miserable then. I'll just throw a dice at their birth. If it's uneven they'll be in a lot of...fun >.>
Thank you :D

Even if the sims would never, have them eat spoiled food, leave trash on the lawn, and fight with the spouse even if they don't cheat to get there. I'm also open to "not responding to" kitchen fires, and random deaths. Not every teen was meant to make it to adult hood. It's funny, they have a lack of childhood diseases, but sim teens die so much in my game.

I often make use of the infamous baby grill to raise the infant mortality in my game. When I get annoyed with some Sim kids/teens I roll a dice and then have them die from something random XD
I really need to be meaner towards my Sims

One thing I learned is, a lot of CAS marriages will stay near perfect. Unless I lower them to 0/0 and watch the fun start. The well-matched sims predictably fix their score. Other sims can't help but fight.

Yeah, CAS marriages are "matches made in heaven". But in my games even the marriages between playable characters do just fine..
Do you make them argue by command or will they start fights themselves? Spontaneous fights never happened to my game

I find that my sims are always depressed. I neglect their wants, so usually they're off crying in the corner of the screen. Even when there's a party going on. Its annoying...but that's what I get for not caring about their wants! lol

I'm too nice to my sims as well... gotta start ignoring some of their 'become creature' fears... though I currently have no intention to start making a bunch of sims into zombies. I mean, it does sound cool, but they're so useless from what I read. I do like werewolves though, and with the personalitonomitron, I can counteract some of the meanness effect. I just like to have sims that don't hate hugging and appreciating... though I might allow a few to become completely or almost-completely mean.
And I will have to maybe download a cleaned version of Strangetown and create a few female college students, and see which one will win Nervous Subject's heart. He may be mean, but a wonderful father and child-minder.

Let them create enemies..and fight them every chance they get. Pescado has the "moarfight" hack, and "enemiesaccumulate', which makes bad behavior pay off in spectacular ways.
Use ACR and make some poor unsuspecting sim flirt with a neighbor-with the spouse nearby. Guaranteed to make misery.
In one of my hoods there are a bunch of old bats who happen to despise the younger women, and they make their lives a living hell. Fun ensues at every turn, that's for sure!

Take your biggest family, and make the next teen to age up in it a Romance sim, then indulge all his or her dating wants without regard to consequences. You'll be amazed how this ripples through the hood.

I wish there was an ACR style mod for anti social behaviors. Most of my Sims are so perfectly behaved unless they're in aspiration failure. It would be cool if kids could play ball in the house and break things or throw more tantrums. I wish Sims would have more arguments and irritate each other. Maybe I should seed my neighborhood with some mean CAS sims.

Oh, yeah-that 'real sickness' hack will destroy any plans you make for a neighborhood. It's the sim version of the bubonic plague, and it can really eradicate anyone, including children. (Toddlers and babies are immune, as always.)

Funny, I have it and my sims don't drop like flies. Then again, they don't get sick very often. Worse case was the flu in the frat-girl house (cockroaches from pizza), and nobody died then. My sims are hardy.

Yet, they are morons. Hardy morons.

None of my sims have died from that mod yet, but it does make illness a lot more difficult to recover from. I have one sim with food poisoning who spent three days alternating between relaxing on her bed, clutching her stomach in pain and throwing up. She's still sick.

I had 3 sims die from the mod, but I didn't want them to die so I unsaved to save two of them :x. I ended up getting rid of the mod since 3 out of the sims I have was kinda much

Thanks for your suggestions everyone!
Today I'll start a new neighbourhood and try to build everything you mentioned in :D

They can recover, even with the realsickness-mod, but only with lots of sleep and keep the motives as high as possible. Which interrupt anything if you planned something to do for that Sim :P .

Alright, correction. I had ONE sim die of food poisoning. Tiffany the frat girl. However, she was also pregnant at the time, so that makes sense. Her boyfriend had the guts to approach Mr. Reaper and demand his girlfriend back, and he succeeded. So, she isn't dead anymore. She just has to take care of twin babies.

I bet she wishes sometimes that she was dead
Twin babies are AWFUL.
Once I had a glitch in my game and four babies were born. Now that was fun -.-

I had a couple in college autonomously try for a baby and have twins. The mom's a vampire. That pretty much put the work load on the dad. :faceslap:
I've learned slowly how to work with twin babies, but my sims still have issues at times.

That's not very handy when you have vampires.
