I haven't been back to check on the thread that I had created to see if there were any new replies. had to look for it in my posts via my username and the post didn't have the ability, any longer, to reply to it.
My issue hasn't been solved as of yet and because of that I had not played it for a time.
The info below is still the same info for my computer. The only thing that has changed is that I removed the Pets expansion and the game still loads slow.
This all seemed to occur not after I installed The Pets but after I installed the latest patch, which according to what comes up when I check on the latest patch, it says:
1.33.2.015001
I went to this site which was suggested:
http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Overwatch
to download that but there is not a version for the patch version I have.
VERSIONS
Ensure that you download and install the Phase that works on your Patch-Level.
Base-Mod
1.31-1.33
OLDER VERSIONS
Base-Mod
1.29
How do I remove that latest patch that I have? Would installing an older patch do the trick? It's too the point that its so frustrating that I don't want to play this game any longer.
I have all the EP's with The Pets being the most recently installed. I have all of the stuff packs but I don't have Outdoor Living.
I'm afraid that the answer will be that I need more ram or a better video card which if that is the case, that will have to wait til there's more money in the till.
Loading time everywhere, the game, CAS/CAH, entering a lot, building on the lot... takes forever and more than a day.
I renamed my folder (Sims 3 to Sims 3 default) , restarted my game and yes... it did seem to load quite a bit faster. When replacing the new folder with the one I had renamed, the game once more loaded slowly. I went to the site that suggested a download to combine package files but when I tried to download it, my virus protection blocked it so I didn't download that. IF... (please please please) IF my system is good enough and the problem might be the custom content (too much) and I would then need to sort through it... that will have to wait til another day when I have more time. (lots of errands today and tomorrow... plus... remodelling bathroom in RL as opposed to the Sims-why can't RL be as easy as the Sims???)
