Cannot harvest Death Flower [SOLVED]

Hi all! I have The Sims 3 base game, and was reading articles on MTS the other day. I found myself at this (http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Death_Flower) page and read that Death Flower actually exists somewhere obvious in the game. (Back a while ago, when I first looked at the plant and didn't know anything about it except that it's very rare, I thought that it was impossible to see/harvest. When I read that it's on local graveyard, I was like, :faceslap: yeah, it could be on the local graveyard - Death Flower, Death, dead bodies... graveyard...)

So I went there with my Sim and harvested it. I continued to play for two hours. Then, my Sim wanted to order a pizza (and I'm this kind of person: I like to do things my Sim suggests me to order... him. Yeah. Kind of a storyteller, I guess). I ordered it, but my Sim's hunger meter was full, so I turned on testingCheatsEnabled, and dragged Hunger meter all the way down. Maybe little too much.

Of course, my Sim died of starvation (which is dumb, because when I wanted to kill the Sim he was in relationships with (because I forgot to turn off Story Progression), she would've had like, 10 hours left 'til she dies). But my Sim was super buffed, and when he got resurrected (because he had Death Flower), he came back anorexia-skinny. So I decided to restart the game (go to the main menu without saving and reload the same game).

I still wanted my Sim to have Death Flower in his inventory. So I, again, went to the local graveyard. And there it was, mature Death Flower with perfect quality. But the only thing I had to choose from the pie menu was "View," not "Harvest."

Um... why is this happening? (Also, I've read that "Green Thumb" trait can revive the plant. My Sim doesn't have one... but still, when I first harvested the plant, I didn't save, so it's quite odd...?)

Some days plants on community lots have produce on them. And some days they don't.

Not sure why you can't harvest the death plant but if you want a death plant you can find it in buydebug. To get buydebug bring up the cheat box Ctrl+Shift+C and type in testingcheatsenabled true then press enter, bring up the cheat box again and type in buydebug then press enter and you should see a question mark in buy mode and that's the buydebug section.

Green Thumb can revive the plant, but not on a community lot. You have to take the flower home, have someone with high enough gardening skill plant it, and then harvest the flower from the new bush. And it -should- only be possible once per bush. (Although there is an occasional bug where they can revive it several times.)

It does seem a tiny bit odd that the status of the bush didn't get saved from save to save, but that might have been a caching thing. But as JustAnotherSimsFan said, it is easy to go into BuyDebug and plant new Death Flower bushes if that one is glitched.

I'm always kinda into the normal, non-cheating way (except when it comes to Sims' motives). But this sounds like a good way to go, too.
