When I use SimBlender to commit plastic surgery to already born Sim is those changes inherited to children Sims?

Also, just what are the limits of what a sim can get from parents? I know skin color yes but what all?

Skin colour, eye colour, hair colour (and hence facial hair colour), elements of facial features (nose, eye shape, bridge of nose, chin, cheeks, forehead, mouth shape). Some features are more likely inherited from the father than the mother and vice versa. Any custom content used as genetics has to be made compliant with the genetics system to work - otherwise, the kid just inherits the custom stuff.

And, no, plastic surgey is not genetic. That's one of the joys of TS2 - the genetics are consistent. If you want to make it so, you have to fix it in SimPE. Not like TS3 where a child can inherit it's parent's hair dye.

LaurellKH, unless you make it genetic through steps in SimPE, the children will inherit the Sims original facial structure not the facial structure after plastic surgery.

If you want the kids to inherit genetic from the parent(s) you put through plastic surgery, then follow these steps to save the plastic surgery's changes first - http://forums.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=56241
Too bad the pictures are gone, but it's still clear from instructions what you need to do, imho.

Thank you very much. This all was more helpful than I thought I would receive! I hope all Custom Content Creators make is compliant with the genetics system because cc is what makes Sims beautiful.

I am always thinking I will never leave Sims 2 for 3 because TS3 does not have the support TS2 does. But this is interesting about Sims 3, I want the children to have everything from the parents. Cannot see the negative with that. So, mommy wears lipstick and junior is born with bright red lips maybe? All my sims crossdress would not bother me. But I don't like Ken dolls sickens me.

Do not know if TS3 has male enhancement, lol. Or a SimBlender. Cannot live without those two. Males anatomically correct and SimBlender. So I stay with TS2.

Everyone is helpful here. Thank you.

Sims 3 children don't inherit lipstick colors, but if one of the parents has pink hair, the child will inherit pink hair, not what the parent's original color was.

There are mods that make Sims 3 Sims anatomically correct, just like with Sims 2. There is no Sims 3 version of the Blender, which I miss when I play Sims 3. (I have and play both.)
