Have I got it right this time? I talked to Jonathan at Dell. He suggested this for me.
I use Sims3, CAW, photoshop and blablabla. Play some civ5 too. This graphics card is not on your list, but he said it was new. I only need the box, but I need to have a keyboard and mouse apparently.

You do like your Dells, don't you? :)
That price is a bit expensive for me, since it does not include an SSD. I can't translate (or not sure which term to translate), does that price include a monitor? And the accessories - keyboard+mouse? Or is that price without these items?
Also, since Dell is offering the 7870 as a configurable choice, they would upgrade the power supply from the base 460W to the 600W (or more) AMD recommends? And this price is already included in the GPU upgrade price?

I take it that's Norwegian kroner? If so, I'd say it's more than just a little overpriced, though it's been a while since I last bought a full system.
It looks like a monitor is included, though no idea what type/size/quality - "Monitor: Ikke inkludiert skjerm". (Bear in mind, though, that that's a wild guess based on general knowledge of European languages...)

Whiterider your norwegian is terrible! LOL. The crises in Europe hasn't got here and probably never will. Don't you live in the Netherlands?
I found the same pc on US Dell but the graphics card there is Radeon HD7570, I saw another thread you thought that one could be too little. On the Norwegian site it's HD7870. I don't know if this linking is working, US Dell: http://ecomm.dell.com/dellstore/basket.aspx?itemtype=CFG&s=soho&l=en&cs=ussoho1&c=us&&details=false
I'm lazy and want things to be easy. Hoping Dell could help me with that if I want to upgrade. I have to ask the question ellacharm suggested, haven't got to it yet. Thanks for your help. No monitor. I don't need a keyboard or mouse either, but I can't get them without.

It is! I do live in the Netherlands, am fluent in English, relatively competent in Dutch, and can manage buying groceries and reading cooking instructions in French and German. I can also say "Please sit down" and "Kisses" in Portuguese. So, that should give you an idea of my skill with Norwegian. I still reckon I was right about "inkludiert", I just don't know which word means "not" :p .
I know the crisis hasn't hit Scandinavia generally - so shouldn't things be cheaper up there? ;)
I don't remember the specific thread, but I suspect I said something along the lines of "That card would run TS3, yes, but after a few more EPs it would start to have problems, so it's not a great long-term investment"? The 7870 should be golden, however.
Dell won't be of much (read: any) help when it comes to upgrading, I'm afraid. However, assuming it's all standard parts (that is, not weird proprietary parts which are made with odd dimensions designs to only fit other Dell components), upgrading is ridonkulously easy, and you'll do fine with it once you know what you want to upgrade to. ;)
