I'm REALLY late, and still haven't gotten the Sims 3 because of the cost (I'm not rich) Lately, I'm starting to think I may be able to afford it soon, and plan to buy it in a few months. My little sister broke the Sims 2 anyway, and lost the code so I can't re-download it.

Back in sims 2, I used to make LOADS of things with bodyshop, but never put them on here because I felt I wasn't ready yet-though my stuff was more high quality than some things that were on here! Honestly I didn't want to upload anything because I hadn't learned to mesh yet. Now I'm starting to think that I'll make TONS of clothes on here too-and ALSO try actually MODDING. I kind of really want to add new things to do, fix problems I hate, and make the sims easier and a better experience. I've thought about modding for a while actually, and even learning how to create PROGRAMS to make custom content easier to create, since I heard there's no Bodyshop. Though I'm planning it to be just ONE program for many uses, like bodyshop was.

What would you guys like the most once I get the Sims 3 and start trying to mod (I'll probably do this without uploading anything for a year or two, or until I create something worth downloading)

This isn't the right place to advertise for requests. You should really learn how to mod, upload some mods, and then post in the TS3 Creators that Take Requests thread.

There already are two programs that are 'Bodyshop' replacements - both programs were created back in 2009 when Sims 3 first came out and everybody realised that there was no Bodyshop for Sims 3! One was created by Delphy, the owner of MTS: CAS Texture Unitool http://www.modthesims.info/d/364926 , and the other was created by The Sims Resource: TSR Workshop http://www.thesimsresource.com/workshop . Delphy's app is very like Bodyshop, in that it only works with CAS items, while TSR Workshop works with both CAS items and objects. If you plan on creating a program to do that, it will be interesting to see the result.

To learn how to make items and mods for Sims 3, see the tutorial section, here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_3:Modding

Good luck! :)

If you are looking for ideas, play a while. Notice things that -you- think are lacking. Ask in WCIF to see if anybody else has done it. If not, there was probably a reason so it isn't likely to be a beginner project. Put it on your list of things to learn how to do. If there are other versions out there, learn to make your own for practice. When you get enough skills under your belt you can start on one of the projects that nobody else has managed. If you succeed, other people are likely to want it as well.

(Or you could settle for making decent stuff for anybody who isn't an adult or Young adult female :) ) (That isn't a request, just an observation of something that is -still- lacking)
