I know. I ask these a lot. But here is another.
Is it normal for a grand vampire who was influenced to drink the awesome curing potion. They are now cured. And next your Sim goes.downtown, they are a vampire again. Is that normal?
Here is an example:
Spencer influenced Jenna's fiancee Countessa Aiyana to drink Vamprocillin-D. And she did. She was cured. Well, Jenna and her siblings went downtown, and she was.a vampire again and bit Jenna. So Jenna influenced Aiyana to drink it again. And she is cured again.
Sooooo is it normal for a grand vampire to cure themselves then become a.vampire again? Because when she was invited over to the house. She was normal. Just not.dowtown.

I am not sure what happens if you cure them but don't move them in but what we do know about vampires is that sometimes, even though they are cured, they don't always lose the vampire behaviours - bit like how the cheerleader behaviours stick after they graduate and move out with your sim. I think, also, that the vampires behave differently if you 'activate' them. If you never let them get close to one of your sims or bite anyone, they remain passive. If you do do this, they become much more active as vampires and go around biting everyone (without hacks anyway) - so much so, it caused real problems when the EP was first released and it had to be patched. It might be that once the 'activated' code is in place that they get more stuck on being vampires all the time.

Its weird. I mean one moment human next vampire. Its like grrr. I want her cured. But appearently she can't decide. Maybe she needs to be playable for it to.actually stay.

If the said Contessa(AKA)vamp becomes a playable then you can cure her or him.I did that once and then I made them back into a NPC and it worked for me.But it won't unless playable. You could try that I suppose.

The Contessa and the Count is not curable due to their status as NPC.

Well, I know that they are curable, due to the fact I had once another thread asking if I could cure them. But I have never heard or seen this happen. One moment she was human, then vampire, then human. In fact the second time I got her cured, she rolled a fear of becoming a Vampire. Then I had the Forysthe siblings go too another downtown lot, and she showed up there as a Vampire...
I am like:
"Yeah screw this."

In my experience, it's like others have said. They aren't permanently curable unless you make them playable. You can temporarily cure them when you're on a lot with them, yes, but the cure won't "stick," and the next time you see them, they're back to vampiness. It must be in their coding. With the vamps, the only way to cure them is to make them playable and then cure them. Then if you turn them back into NPCs, via various methods, they'll remain cured. Otherwise...vamps will be vamps. :)

Damn Maxis. -.-" Well, you know that makes me wonder if like Aiyana got a fear knocked out. Because she feared of becoming a Vampire o.O Go Vampires -.-" Never again. I'll wait until the peeps are married. But I don't remember any of the Vampires being a Pisces either, actually. I know that they are all Aquarians o.O

I've had grand vamps of different signs. They've all had the Pleasure aspiration, though. But anyway, I think when you "cure" a grand vamp when you're on a lot with them they temporarily change to a "regular" Sim, which would explain the fear of becoming a vampire that Aiyana rolled, but once you/they leave that lot, they revert back to their programming, which I suppose is why making them playable is the only way to really cure them. The "making them playable" process must overwrite their "natural" programming. I believe that once you marry one in or otherwise add one to household to make them playable, a new grand vamp is generated to take their place...but don't quote me on that. :)

@iCad: That is what I heard before. That once they are playable, and blah blah. They do replace them. And at first I thought they did, you know? As in they replaced Aiyana. I was like wow:
"They made her a blonde too."
Next minute I know, Aiyana walks up to Jenna and bites her, and me not noticing the relationship panel, YET, I was like:
"Just freaking dandy! Some random Vampire bit Jenna"
Then I saw that is was Aiyana, yeah, it was rather odd.
