Guys, I just want to make sure you don't think that I want to take all the credit for this project.
I'm not a new member of the sims community, I've been playing Sims since TS1 first came out, and I've created 2 full worlds before this and built numerous lots, and spent ages sculpting sims to not be pudding-y etc.
The reason I started this project is because I've been through lots and lots of sites and searched downloads and saw that a lot of creators liked to make darker themed things (skins, makeup, clothes, objects, mods etc) and the only thing that stood between the creator community and making an EP together was literally communication and organisation. So I wanted to bring those creators together.
We saw what the Merrye Makers could do, making medieval themed stuff, if they got together with jje1000 on this world (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=477823) all your medieval dreams would come true, and we wouldn't have to rely on EA and their silly Katy Perry themes.
When I figure out how, there will be an official group like the merrye makers, where this world and the CC File will be uploaded. It will also be uploaded to a site like media fire so it can be posted on every single site of every single person who took part. And you will all get full credit for everything that you do.
I also want to remind everyone that I'm not the boss here, I'm just organizing it. So you can do/create/donate what ever you want, you don't need to ask me for permission, just tell me that you are doing something so I can keep everything updated. I may ask you to do something, but you can easily say you dont want to do it.
I also want to apologize to anyone who feels like I'm making people create things to my ideas and that you have no say. I take into account everything everyone says, and try to please you all, but I also don't want to step on the toes of other creators who have made or are making apocalypse themed worlds. I know I have stated my ideas many times, and I may have overruled you at some point, (I apologize for that) but this was literally so there weren't any grey areas in terms of what we are doing. Please say if there are areas you don't agree with, or you don't like things that I've said or done, or if you want me to do something for you.
Thank you for your time x

Is it OK is I lessen my involvement a bit? I think by doing so much, I get the feeling I'm going to be over worked. I don't think I'll make any terrain (since it breaks everything, but I get it working, I'll gladly post it), and I want to only do 1 lot. While doing a town seemed like a good Idea at the time, I think I'll just do the Science facility that I originally started with, and maybe the odd house or two, and the walls + floors. :D

Squaretable: Let me know if theres any problems with the sign. They had updated the texture tweaker and it's UI is slightly different now. The sign is in the same category as the other stage backgrounds.

I think that looks great. I tend to hate most of the "dirty" patterns I've seen, because they are so repetitive, but this looks great. I like it

Hi Prawler!
Please can you change the link in the creators list?
The new thread for apocalypse terrain paints is here (http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=478355) .
thanks :)

Since we don't have a thread for objects showcase, I thought of using this thread to show you guys something I made. It's the Showtime luxury car turned into a "Zombie Outbreak Response Team" -vehicle. The logo isn't blurry at all in-game; the pic is just bit lousy.
I had some problems with the logo turning into a mirror image on the passenger's side door but with the wonderful help by Bloom from the "Simlogical and the Dead End Tests" forum, the problem was solved. Credits go to her for that. :)
So... what do you think?

Also, it looks really cool... but rather clean. XD

Sorry, the thread confused me bit. I kind a thought it was for objects that were requested. I stand corrected. :)
About the car being clean... whole car has all 4 channels, so it will be easily recolored. Only the logo itself stays unrecolorable. ;)

Sick Car! I'd say keep that one for requests and the original poster could change the name and I'll set up one like I did with my building showcase.

Thank you. :)
Yeah, it might be wise to have a seperate thread for requested objects and non-requested objects. That way they wouldn't get all mixed up and showcasing would also be easier. ;)

No more CAP!!! No no no!!! :D
I made my first patterns for the Merrye Makers with CAP. Patterns made with this tools have huge disadvantages. They have only one channel and can't be converted into .packages.
Then I found out how to make patterns with the Pattern Packager (http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=342998)
I'm using Filter Forge (http://filterforge.com/) for the textures and Photoshop.

Hi all, I just joined your group.
I'm not a modder, never created any or even CAW stuff.
But I'm a huge "Simpocalypse" fan and really want to support a project like this any way I can especially since MTS is my favorite source for help, mods and info!
I'm a fairly decent builder, and I absolutely love decorating with all the mod style patterns, textures and decor objects. I have a pretty extensive library of stuff I've downloaded from fansites like baufive, 13th sim industrial, Aikea Guinea just to name a few of my favorites. Not sure on the policy of using those objects in an official MTS project however (for credit to creator).
If nothing else, I would happily take anyone's lots provided to me and 'destruct' them down to post-apocalyptic condition. I've done so with a few lots from EA's Twinbrook from Ambitions because I always felt like it had the best post-apocalyptic atmosphere with the weird sims who live there and the swamps all around it.
I'm currently filling out lots from the Silent Hill player made world I downloaded from the exchange. Nicely done and perfect for a post apocalyptic zombie invasion town.
Very much looking forward to the Supernatural expansion, already pre-ordered it and would love to participate here with any post-apocalyptic towns as a beta tester or decorator / lot creator!

Hi Envie42!
Welcome here! :anime:
In response to your post,
I just want to make you aware that this project has "no CC unless it's created by someone in the project." {per Prawler}
Also, no store items (not even the free ones).
There are some talented people signed on this project.
If you're going to build & need something imparticular (CC-wise), you can request it from the group & hope someone will take on the challenge. :D
Feel free to read through the group threads to get familiar with everything.
Glad you joined! :bunny:

I'm going to feel slightly bad saying this, but, we've got a world already sorry (it's quite sick too IMHO) I'm alsO not sure if we could just simply, 'apocalypse' other unaffliated creators, and no cc by creators not in the project nor store content. The amount of times I've asked Prawler to allow rabbit hole rugs it's untrue.
Sorry again if ive put. A damper of your spirits, again, sorry.

Not sure why you would put a damper on things since my post was introducing myself and asking what the specific rules / requirements were. Since there's no cc allowed from outside creators, that's fine as is no store content. That will make it tricky since there's some really great industrial and apocalyptic items out there from CC, all free, I've never paid for any of it, but I understand not wanting to use outside sources completely.
As for 'decontructing' lots, what I mean is, you give me a lot you or someone else already created and I'll happily flip it to a grungy, dirty, run down lot to fit the theme.
However, if you've already got the test world up and running, I'd also be just as happy downloading it and testing it for you.

Also, if you already have the world created, am I missing a post or section where this information is kept? I looked through the few here and didn't see anything definitive so maybe I just missed it. If you've got it already done, great, I am excited to play with it in the month left waiting for supernatural and zombie simpocalypse time. :)

You could go to the World News Tonight and sign yourself up for an area or a Lot, Varpunen's currently editing and I'm editing after him, I'd recommend reading all 4 pages entirely, just incase your claim conflicts with another's.
If you want to help people Destroying lots, I've got a mall that's not grungier enough yet, but it's not done, but I'll tell you when it is and you can unleash your magic on it >:-D. There's also a few people on the lot showcase who could do with lot grunging, you can find the group on my user page (Apocalypse lot builders)

Thanks Squaretable, I'll check the thread out, and read all four pages. I'll load the game without CC and mods to do editing if I do take on one of your lots. It will be sometime this week in the evenings before I can get to one, but definitely interested in the challenge.
Also, is there a list of approved mods from MTS for this project? I'm still trying to sort everything out.
One mod I've never been able to find (maybe someone needs to create it) is how to make holes or jagged / crumbled areas on walls. I know how to do it creatively with floors, and somewhat on roofs (though tutorials would be great).

I know how to do it creatively with floors, and somewhat on roofs (though tutorials would be great). There was a fantastic GOS gift a couple of years back by Repulsively Desirous called Damage Me (and Damage Me More, but I like the first set best). They're just randomly shaped patches of recolorable overlay with ragged edges that can be moved up and down walls. They're great for making it look as though brick is showing through, or if you drag the wallpaper pattern onto them and change the brightness, you can make it look like stained or faded patches. Here's the link in case you want to check it out. (http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=20736.msg533091#msg533091) It's the first download under the post starting with "December 14."
She's no longer part of the community so far as I know, so can't be asked to join this project, though I don't think there were any restrictions put on the creation's use. Maybe someone here would have an interest in making a new version. I'd say I'd try it, but it wouldn't be anytime in the near future.
ETA: Hey, Sims Graveyard had a pic.
