View Full Version : what does EA do about facebook ads for games NON sim related having screenshots of the sims as their ad picture?

I've seen this OFTEN on facebook. It's either IMVU or some others COMPLETELY different to the series. The people who make the ads seem to use the Sims pictures simply because their game is 3d. They often use TS2 pictures more than TS3, though I've seen a TS3 screenshot ONCE. Why can't they just stick to the screenshots of their OWN games?

Once it wasn't even a game, or at least I don't remember it about being a game. It was something about breast feeding.

No idea, most of the facebook ads are bs, I generally stay away from them. I'm not aware of EA doing anything about it.

Ads appear according to your taste and your google search patterns. If you search a lot of TS3, google ads will fetch that information and put ads related to The Sims, and that will include Second Life and the like because their own sites have tags related to TS3.

I think part of the reason is, when someone posts a picture on facebook, it's there forever, and facebook TOU clearly states they can do whatever the hell they want with them. So, either someone on facebook just made an honest mistake ( I can't believe I used the words "honest" and "facebook" together in a sentence :wtf: ) or it was a deliberate act to get the 12 million people who have liked the Sims page to click on the ad.
